My sister and I love to travel, experience different cultures and learn other languages. We are both avid readers, fond of jazz and world music, and enjoy good food, good wine, and good conversation. We both appreciate the outdoors as well as big cities. We are interested in multiple cultural activities and are great supporters of the arts. We don't have children or pets and we´re non-smokers (don't mind the smoke, as long as it is outdoors).
Jennifer Demello purchased this apartment in 2009
Mexico City was listed as the #1 place to visit in the New York Times Places to Visit in 2016¨ and our neighborhood was featured in this article, ¨getting to know the city means diving into its colonias. In the shadow of Paseo de la Reforma, the city’s grand boulevard, the Colonia Cuauhtémoc, beckons business travelers and tourists alike, with the new design-conscious and an increasing number of restaurants. ¨ Our apartment is surrounded by a large variety of restaurants, cafes, delis, boutiques, and an art house theater. The neighborhood is safe and the apartment has a live-in doorman. There is a gym, a yoga studio, a supermarket, several convenient stores, and a Mercado (farmer’s market) close by.
We LOVE the location of our place and so will you!
2 Bedrooms, spaciousness, modern, best location, in Mexico City, wifi, cable, telephone, doorman, safety, surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, bars, parks, museums, and cinemas, .
This unit was is the perfect location to explore Mexico City. Lots of great restaurants right around the corner, only a couple of blocks from the Reforma and walking distance to the park and its attractions.
This apartment is spacious, well decorated, and very clean and functional. The owner and her on site staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely
Very handy to many attractive neighbourhoods. Only downside was the noise from the bar next door.
Rented this lovely apartment for a few days over American Thanksgiving holiday with my college aged daughter who studies Latin American history and Spanish. I must admit, everyone thought I was crazy when I told them I was going to Mexico City, but it is a beautiful and quite interesting destination! The apartment is located in a convenient and safe area off the main area with lots of restaurants and easy access to city. It is very spacious and clean and you will be very comfortable . Communication between Jennifer (owner) and Marco (on site rental agent) was excellent before and during the rental period. Unfortunately my daughter ended up getting appendicitis the day after we arrived and required an emergency appendectomy so we only slept there one night, but I would highly recommend this apartment for couples or those with older children who need space and desire safe, and accessible location. There is even a doorman who provided guidance when we needed to find a way to the hospital! We will be back under better circumstances!
The apartment is better than I thought. The pictures do not do it justice - it is huge! The location could not be better. You could easily spend a month here and not eat in the same place twice. Also when we had to reschedule due to a passport issue, Maria & Jennifer were very accommodating in moving our dates. Their driver, Antonio, was awesome - from the day he met us at the airport to the day he dropped us off; and all the trips in between - including a day trip to Puebla. Getting back to the location, if I lived in Mexico City it would be here - very lively. Thank you Jennifer and Maria for adding to a most wonderful stay in this beautiful city!
Great place! My mom and I stayed there for 10 days in late June and everything was perfect. Some other reviews commented on the noise level but it didn't bother us. Clean flat, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, etc. Great location and everything was easily accessible by bus or metro. Full kitchen with basics like oil, salt, etc. and there's a large supermarket about 10 min walk away. Tons of great restaurants and cafes within a few minutes of the flat. Antonio, the driver/tour guide, was especially fantastic - picked us from the airport, took us to Frida Khalo's house and a few other places; he was full of useful information and just generally good company :) No complaints, would highly recommend. Thank you Jennifer, Marco and Antonio!
Our neighborhood has a European feel to it as it is surrounded by a large variety of restaurants, cafes, delis, an art house theater, a cinema, and many boutiques for your enjoyment. The neighborhood is safe and the apartment has a live-in doorman. For your convenience, there are several gyms, a yoga studio, a supermarket, several convenient stores, and a Mercado (farmer’s market) a short walk from the apartment.
Our apartment is located in Colonia Cuauhtémoc, an ideal starting point to explore Mexico City since it's walking distance to historical, cultural and popular locations around the city. Our place is a couple of blocks from the grandiose landmarks of The Angel of Independence and The Diana Fountain on Reforma Avenue. We are walking distance to the Anthropology Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Rufino Tamayo Museum, and Chapultepec Park as well as the Historical Centro, which includes the Theater of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes), the Zocalo, and multiple museums and iconic restaurants. There are buses that constantly run along Reforma Ave that will take you directly to any of these sites in less 20 minutes. Other popular neighborhoods such as Condesa, Roma, and Polanco are walking distance or a short bus ride away from our place. We are a few blocks from La Zona Rosa where you will find many galleries, antique shops, and shopping during the day and bars and night clubs at night.
If you are in Mexico City on business, our location is also optimal since we are walking distance to many embassies (American, British, Japanese, and Colombian), the Mexican headquarters of HSBC, and American Express, American Airlines, Continental and many other important businesses. Most importantly, since we are centrally located you won’t spend hours in traffic traveling from one part of the city to the other.
