About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Welcome to the Gondola House. We have enjoyed owning our home for 22 years and sharing it with travelers from all over the world. Our home is in a very peaceful setting and offers wonderful views of the Gondola and surrounding mountains. You are also close enough to walk to town, restaurants, shopping and much more. The house is about 1 1/2 miles from the Silver Mountain gondola base.

Our home offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay including a fully equipped kitchen, bedding and towels. Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is large and has two queen beds. The other has one queen bed. Also downstairs is the living room, dining room, eat-in kitchen, and bathroom with washer and dryer. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom were recently updated. Upstairs there is a sitting area with a queen futon and tv as well as a large bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom. Our home is perfect for couples or families to share or for a large family or group to spread out. There is a charming front porch to relax on and plenty of books, games and puzzles to enjoy. Of course if you want to be in touch with the real world we have wireless internet and 2 tvs with expanded cable. If you want to relax after a long day skiing, hiking or biking, there is a 6 person hot tub for your enjoyment.

Our home is perfect for families and groups but we can also lock off the upstairs and rent the downstairs only (2 bedrooms with 3 queen beds and 1 bath) for a reduced nightly and cleaning fee.

Please note that this is not a 'party' house.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had wonderful time staying in the Gondola house. It was so nice to be able to stay in the house I lived in when I was born until we moved out of when I was five years old to Washington State. I Remember so much about the house after walking back into it, that it was amazing. And driving around Kellogg in October was fantastic with all the fall colors. I can not believe how much of Kellogg I remember, moving away from there so young. We can't wait to go back and stay again soon.

Great Location for skiing Silver Mountain and Look Out Pass

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us had a great time staying at this adorable home. The house was well stocked with games and kitchen gadgets. The beds were comfortable. The location was great. We hope to return next year! The hot tub was clean. The house was easy to find. The property managers across the street were very friendly and attentive. The Gondola goes right over your head as you sit in the hot tub. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!!

Great weekend at Gondola House

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Kellogg this weekend and staying at that Gondola House really worked out. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and fit the needs for our group of 10 perfectly. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay. The owners maintain a great property and were very accommodating. Neighbors across the street were great to have available for questions or issues.

I would highly recommend this property for those needing the space for a larger group. We enjoyed the water park on Saturday and skiing on Sunday.

Great Stay in a Nice Home

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed the night at the Gondola House, but we had such a great time! Location is good, close to the highway but peaceful. The host was helpful and very communicative before our arrival and made sure we could arrive late in the day. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub clean and in good condition. We're now considering returning here during winter time, as the house is right under the gondola to the ski resort.

Very Nice House

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 4 nights at the Gondola House and had a great time. Perfect location for riding the Hiawatha, golfing, hiking, mine tours, and Gondola rides. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds very comfortable. Only down side was the upstairs got a little toasty during the day but as soon as the sun went down a fan in the window cooled it right off. We will definitely plan on staying there again.

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

This definitely was the best vacation home we have stayed at. It was so convenient for our activities we had planned! The hot tub was the best part of the day to just relax. We'll most definitely be returning!

Introducing the north Idaho biking opportunities to our adult children

  • 4 of 5

We spent 3 days doing out & backs on our favorite segments of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes (2 trips right from the Gondola House with its aerobic return, first to Cataldo with lunch on the trail along the scenic part of the river, and second to Wallace with lunch at the City Limits Brew Pub (excellent suds & food), and then from Harrison to Plummer with lunch on the trail near the top of the climb. On our 4th day we rode the Hiawatha from East Portal down to the Falcon overlook and back. We ended up with 102 miles on the odometers for the 4 days.

The 6 of us enjoyed our down time at the Gondola House just as much. We took turns with cooking duties and had several excellent dinners. The well equipped kitchen and new barbeque all work out great. The hot tub got a lot of use. The sleeping accommodations were very comfortable and the bathrooms were fine. A couple of minor glitches were quickly addressed by the property managers.

Owner's Response: It sounds like you made the most of your time in beautiful Northern Idaho and got lots of biking in. You went to one of our favorite restaurants, City Limits. We always have great food and beverages there too. Sorry there were a couple of minor glitches but we are very lucky to have excellent property managers who are available to take care of things when they come up. Hope you and your family visit again on one of your biking adventures.
