Why Lorenzo Solari chose Lucca
The villa has been our family's summer residence since the 1930s, when we purchased it from the Trenta family who had owned it for more than 500 years. Although family members now reside in different countries and continents, this is the place where we gather and reunite every year. We have toured the world, yet no other place brings us the combination of culture, art, food, nature and peace of mind that we find in Tuscany.
What makes this Villa unique
What strikes our guests the most is the out-of-time feeling that the villa exudes. As we remain the primary users of the property, we have kept the historical antique furnishings, down to the smallest detail, making a stay here seem like a voyage in time. The villa's inner garden, which boasts a size of more than 10,000m², is surrounded by an ancient stone wall, ensuring total privacy and disconnection from the outside world. Finally, the volumes in the house itself are impressive, and unseen anywhere else, with the majority of rooms and bedrooms measuring more than 50m², and some even reaching 100m² with ceilings up to 5m high.
