Clean, Quiet Cabin With Great Service

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and we had a great time. I have stayed in a number of cabins and this is one of the cleanest off the bat. The layout was simple, but perfect for the cabin. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. It was easy to use and didn't require bringing firewood in to use. It warmed the room significantly and we used it much more than I thought we would. We used the fire pit to roast marshmallows, and the Jacuzzi to relax. Overall, we had a great time, and I would stay here again.

Cute cabin tucked away in the woods

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as listed. It is conveniently located near Luray, yet still isolated. After back country camping in SNP for a couple of nights, it was great to end the trip in this sweet cabin. Me and the wife still got some good days hiking in SNP and GWNF, but it was nice to come back and take a nice shower. Thank-you Karen for letting us do this weekend, it was appreciated. Next time were back in Luray, your place will be the first place I check.

Awesome experience!

  • 5 of 5

This was an awesome place to stay! My two best girl friends from college and I met up here for a girl's weekend. This cabin exceeded all expectations. It was in incredibly clean condition when we arrived. We ended up hiking along Skyline drive (30 mins away) and going to a few wineries (45-50 mins away, though Wisteria winery is the closest--we didn't end up going because that winery wasn't dog friendly and I brought my dog.) I would recommend bringing your own food before getting to the house because finding a decent grocery store was tough, though there is a Walmart in Luray 20 minutes from the cabin where we ended up getting most of our food. The house was very peaceful and secluded, though located in a quiet residential area. We used the hot tub every night and also the fire pit to make s'mores and hot dogs. All in all, wonderful! My friends and I (and my dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great cabin, great location, priced right

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to the area as adults and we will return.

The cabin was as described and spotless, I was impressed with the cleanliness. It's a rustic exterior with gravel walk and plenty of leaves due to the season but it was well kept. The kitchen was very well equipped. The cabin was easy to find yet felt isolated. Gas fireplace was great and the hot tub was excellent. The stars at night and the leaves falling during the day were the best free gifts one could ask for. I would recommend a second couch or sectional in the living room so two can recline in comfort, our only complaint.

The closest town has everything one can need but be aware that some businesses don't keep to their posted hours. The grocery store closed early two nights, including a Friday, so we shopped the Dollar Store instead. Be stocked up for the morning since the cabin is far enough from town to make it inconvenient to run out for coffee.

The best part of renting this cabin is the very fair pricing. So many we compared to wanted service fees and cleaning fees, security deposits, etc, which really jacked up the price. Karen does a great job of providing an affordable cabin without sacrificing on quality. We had everything we needed but didn't have to pay for anything we wouldn't use. Linens optional is a great way to save and there were plenty of blankets and pillows provided.

Thank you Karen for an easy transaction and a wonderful experience. We plan to return next autumn and highly recommend.
