Schweitzer/Ullr Lodge is perfect for large family groups, ski teams, wedding parties, or as a multiple family shared unit. Our unit is one of the largest available at Schweitzer/Sandpoint and features:

4266 ft2 on 4 floors with lofts in four of the suites

5 Suites with private bathrooms

Sleeps 18 (1 King, 4 Queens, 8 twins) by design

5 bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms

Hot Tub (SPA) and Jetted tub (Master)

Washer and Dryer

Schweitzer Cable TV included (Winter Only)

All the Suites have locking doors.

The private hot tub is located on the entry level and is suitable for 8 people.

Occupancy is not to exceed 18 (fire code restriction). Please note that others advertise being 'big' but don't tell you their square footage or layout? We will not allow more than 18 occupants at anytime.

Loft access in Suites A thru D is via access ladders. These lofts contain twin beds and are not suitable for small children! This facility is not recommended for people unable to navigate stairs or ladders!

We are not a B&B and do not rent rooms individually. The condo is not suitable for parties of less than 8.

Renters must remove trash to provided county dumpsters (1 mile).

Parking is in the 2 single car garages, and there is space for up to four vehicles to the south of the unit. Please note that Snow removal may be performed morning and evening and vehicles must be moved to accommodate the plows. Parking is not permitted in front of the other ULLR units (2 thru 5) or directly in front of any garage doors. Garage ceiling height may disallow some roof ski racks and tall vehicles (Suburbans fit, Excursions do not).


Smoking, drugs or illegal activities are not permitted at any time.

Maid service and trash removal will be quoted on request.

Sports and available attractions vary by season. The nearest major airport is Spokane, WA (GEG).

Catering services are available locally.

The Free shuttle operates under the authority of the Selkirk Recreation District:

Why Chip or Lynn Lawrence chose Idaho

Schweitzer is being discovered, but our beautiful North Idaho location and a family-centric resort makes it a fabulous destination. We have a great mountain with the varied terrain that skiers admire. In summer, we have biking and hiking trails that are incredible.

The skiing here is great, as are the people!

Schweitzer/ULLR Lodge brings it all together, big, unpretentious and FUN!

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is out of the noisy condo areas and positioned on the mountain so it has privacy and beautiful views. We take the free shuttle to the lifts as they are close. (Available Holidays and weekends in winter, and now available summer weekends). Most if not all Schweitzer properties have very little parking for large families, not so at Schweitzer/Ullr Lodge.

The greatest feature is our size, with 5 suites Schweitzer/ULLR is fantastic for large extended families. The private hot tub makes it feel like home.

The Ullr Lodge condo was just what we needed. Less than a half mile to the mountain!!! The unit sleeps 18 with 5 bedrooms, and four loft areas (4 of the 5 bedrooms have lofts) with ladder access only to the lofts. Plenty of bathrooms, I lost count at one point. Garage parking for smaller in height vehicles. The unit is dated, but it is kept clean and well maintained. It has everything you need in the kitchen for cooking. The kitchen has a dishwasher and garbage disposal. You will need to bring your own trash to the dumpsters about a mile away, so plan on bringing garbage bags. The unit has a gas propane grill. There is a Costco in Spokane Valley, and a few supermarkets in Sandpoint. I would stock up on food before driving 10 miles up the hill to the unit. There is really no place to buy grocery up near the mountain, except one small place where you may or may not get what you need. Towels are included. Shampoo and shower soap was not provided, bring your own. 1 clothes washer and 2 dryers in the unit, soap was provided. Beds are comfortable. The WIFI can be slow and cell reception for mobile data is spotty at best for most carriers. Verizon worked good, Sprint was passable , AT&T was very good . The hot tub is small, only fits about 4 comfortably and does not have the amount of jets most new tubs have. The unit lacks storage in the bedrooms, could use a dresser or two. Could use a bench in the mudroom/entry for putting on your boots. The ski storage room was great. Heated at night with additional heater directly in the room so everything is nice and dry in the morning. The property manager is local and is very accommodating. We shipped our gear in and you can arrange that through him. Please read and follow to the letter the way into the condo as instructed by the property manager. There are two access roads to the unit and we took the wrong (steeper in incline) one, ended up getting stuck in the snow. We were able to get towed out but killed about 2 hours of our time after traveling all day. Please note that there are hills no matter where you go and the last incline up to the condo is very steep. Consider a 4x4 vehicle if you know you will be getting a lot of snow when you go. We had a 15 passenger van (7 of us plus gear) and got stuck a few times getting up to the unit. Overall, for 7 guys on a ski trip, we felt the price was right for what you got, had what we need, and had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. We would rent there again

Weekend Ski Trip

The place was very large and spacious, plenty of room for all 18 people to hangout and be comfortable. The owner was very nice and helpful with any issues that arise with the house or the group. Payment was easy and reasonable. The hot tub was very nice and a bonus that it is indoors.

This was a great stay for us!

We have had a family ski weekend for many years, and finding a place to stay has become more challenging as our family has grown. This worked great for us. There was plenty of room for the 11 of us, with room to spare in the future if we keep adding grandkids. The home included space for us all to gather, but the suites also gave each of our grown kids and families the option of some privacy. The village is close and easy to reach with the shuttle. Chip was easy to work with.

Super Functional Space, Close to the Mtn

We had the pleasure of staying in this condo this past January. It was plenty of space for the 11 people we had come with us. Great for our annual Ski/Snowboard trip. The hot-tub was just the ticket after a long day on the mountain. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good place for a large group. Chip and Lynn were very accommodating, helpful, and responsive to any questions we had about the area. Hope to visit again someday soon!
