About Nancy or Dean Smith

Dean and Nancy reside within the local community and consider it an honor to have been able to raise their family near Caseville.

Dean is a graduate of Michigan State University and is a Commercial Loan Officer at Chemical Bank. Dean is involved in the local school system and serves as the Laker School Board Treasurer. Other interests include serving on the Huron County Mental Health Board and farming. For several years Dean co-hosted a television program called Michigan Farm & Garden. Boating and history round out Dean's main interests.

Nancy is a Dental Hygienist and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Nancy also enjoys time on the water, boating, horses and winter time skiing.

We have two (2) daughters, both girls enjoy school sports, skiing, horses and boating.

Both of the extended familes have been involved in the local community. Dean's family is part of a large farm called 'Smith Family Farms'.

Nancy and the girls also enjoy horseback riding and winter skiing vacations.

Why Nancy or Dean Smith chose Caseville

Caseville is a community with many opportunities for people that like to visit unique areas of Michigan. Unfortunately, Caseville does not have many hotels for people with large family groups to stay at. We bought this home with this in mind and hope that you enjoy the site.

What makes this cottage unique

Our cottage offers year round rentals with your own private beach, beautiful sunsets, jet ski and kayak rental within a mile, Caseville festivals, deer hunters have an opportunity to hunt on private land. Goose and pheasant hunting is also a popular sport in the fall months. Ice fisheman and snowmobilers have direct access to the lake and a place to warm up in on cold days. And, since the home is open throughout the year wedding rentals are available year around!

I totally enjoyed my 6-week stay. The cottage sunroom offers excellent viewing of the lake. WiFi is fast. Beds are comfortable. Owners are friendly and easy to work with. I happily recommend this Caseville property.

Royal Oak MI

Enjoyed some long overdue family time.

  • 5 of 5

A nice cozy gas fireplace and plenty of room for lounging, reading, eating and game playing together. Cold and rainy Sat night, but Sunday was perfect to enjoy a beautiful sunset and bonfire. Plenty of towels, blankets and kitchenware, but no hair dryer.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house is very nice and clean with an absolute beautiful view of the water. We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The area is very nice and it had us imagining what things are like "in season" in Caseville. Frankenmuth was in season though and only about an hour away. We enjoyed our time relaxing in the house but also found stuff to do when wanting to go out and about.
