Huge covered back porch with extra dining tables and plenty of seating. Picnic table on top of double decker dock. Sunning area with lounge chairs and swim out platform on dock. Gently sloping gravel path to the dock- about 200 feet-requires some walking on uneven surface, suitable for most except elderly.

Staying at this house is like living in the most gorgeous tree house ever. Once on the porch, you never want to leave. The lightening bugs were very entertaining, and we found an endangered passion flower. The passion flower is exquisite, and it was a rare treat to see this growing wild on the path to the lake. My congratulations to Donna Lewis for providing such a natural and beautiful habitat for some of our endangered species. This is the most beautiful place ever. Also, immaculately clean.

Owner's Response: Anne, thank you so much for the glowing review. I have to agree – it is like living in a tree house on the back porch. So glad you enjoyed the house and your vacation! Please come again. Thanks! Donna Lewis

If you have kids, you will love this place!

  • 5 of 5

Honestly, this was one of the best vacations for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids stayed on the water the whole time using the kayaks and a pontoon boat that we rented nearby at a very reasonable rate. My son fished for hours and my daughter stayed on the upper deck getting sun. You hear a train going by at night. Other than than that, you will only hear birds. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you need except your food and drink. Bed linens, Towels, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, spray 409 to wipe counters, laundry detergent, spices for cooking, very nice grill, etc., - its all there. We will be back.

A very peaceful cove

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house to share with our family over Labor Day weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and more than accommodating for the 7 of us, 4 adults, 3 minors.

Pros: plenty of room for 6-8 people, located in a peaceful cove which was nice especially on this busy weekend, kayaks available down at the dock which were great for the kiddos, great outdoor space for entertaining on the back deck of the home, allowed additional time on the last day to checkout

Cons: deferred maintenance - the sink didn't drain well which was problematic as we were trying to keep the small kitchen as clean as possible, and it was extremely disappointing to find the lights at the dock didn't work-- my little boy and his cousins love to fish in the evenings and since the GFI was blown, they weren't able to without using their flashlights

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying Janey. We apologize for lights not working. GFI on dock was just replaced in July, investigating why it blew. Sink works fine now.

Excellent trip

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 had a great time at the lake house. The house was very clean and cozy. Loved reading and sitting out on the porch! My boys really enjoyed swimming in the lake, especially jumping off the top dock into the lake! It was hard to leave after the week was over.
