Novigrad is a small town located on the coast of the Novigrad Sea, inhabited since the Bronze Age.
The Medieval heart of the city contains valuable remains of the traditional architecture preserved in the narrow streets and stone houses. Above the town are the remains of the fortress which dates from the 13th century. In the fortress, the Croatian-Hungarian Queen Maria and her mother Elizabeta were detained.
Guests can enjoy Novigrads tranquility and the beauty of nature. The town is surrounded with old vineyards and olive groves.
The fishing boats in the port reflect a long tradition of fishing.
Novigrad is an ideal location for tourists who want to explore this part of Croatia. The distances are as follows: Paklenica National Park 15km, National Park Plitvice Jezera (Plitvice) 80km, Kornati National Park 50km, Krka National Park 55km, the town of Zadar 30km.
Public transportation is relatively poor and therefore I advise you to have a car. Street parking is available free of charge and there are plenty of parking spaces.
