This charming getaway — comfortable, welcoming, and fun — is just a stone's throw from Pleasant Point Landing on Wellfleet Harbor. You can swim, paddleboard, kayak, or just hang out and relax on the sandy bayside beach. (You can even go clamming at nearby Indian Neck beach.) The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge and stove, three bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and a large, open living room/dining area with brick fireplace — a perfect place for checkers or Scrabble. There's a sun deck upstairs and a spacious screened-in porch downstairs for evening cocktails or rainy-day reading. And you'll also find cable and internet access, a gas grill, and laundry. Pleasant point is a cozy, well-established neighborhood full of nice people -- it's a family friendly place where kids can ride their bikes and grown-ups can easily sneak across Rt 6 for a croissant at the Boulangerie or sandwiches and groceries (a great organic and gluten-free selection) at the South Wellfleet General Store. From there, you're right at the foot of Lecount's Hollow Road, which takes you up to the dramatic beaches and pristine kettle ponds on the ocean side. Sample them all, and then stake out your position in one of Wellfleet's longest-running debates and favorite pastimes: which beach is your favorite, which pond is your favorite? Our Pleasant Point getaway is close to everything that Wellfleet has to offer — amazing restaurants, interesting galleries, waterfront ice cream — and yet off the beaten path, in a quiet and scenic bay side neighborhood that you'll soon come to think of as your own. Saturday to Saturday rental schedule.
This is a quintessential three- season beach cottage. While it is comfortable with plenty of amenities it does not have central heat or air conditioning (there is a awl unit that cools the downstairs and space heaters in each rom as needed) and the kitchen does not have a dish washer. It makes up for this with it's lower rental cost for a three-bedroom where you can walk to the water!
