When you think of Montana you think of big skies and mountains everywhere...this Mountain Home has it all. The views are astounding and quiet the soul. This is where the grandure of nature can be absorbed.

This home was built to emulate that moutain-open feel with spacious sitting areas: family area for games and satelite tv and wi-fi (1.25 gigs/stay) that is enough to check emails and get information on sites, but not enough for downloading of songs or video. (Any overages will be billed to renter) The living area in front of a wood stove, large dining table in bay area where you can see mother nature unfold throughout the day.

Making those family meals, or morning cup of coffee is easy in this fully equipped kitchen new appliances: refrigerator, gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, cofee maker/& grinder, pots & pans, and dishes.

There are 3 private bedrooms and a loft area. On the main floor is a bedroom with a bunk bed with full/futon (converts to sofa) on bottom and twin bunk bed on top; and another twin bed. Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with a queen bed and private bathroom with body showers and 180 degree mountain views. Next there is another bedroom with a queen bed and in the loft area is a pull out full/futon sofa bed.

Outside is a very large and secluded open mountain meadow area with firepit , small pond and hilsides filled with pine trees and aspens. Outside the kitchen door is a small area with a propane gas add that outdoor taste to your meal.

The home is on a private road with easy access to Hwy. 89 and to Yellowstone National Park. It takes about 25 minutes from the home to reach the North Entrance to Yellowstone.

After a day at Yellowstone you can relax knowing all the comforts of home are here at the Yellowstone Mountain Home.

A fantastic house in a spectacular location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week in late August, fully enjoying its mountain location. Not only are the mountain views amazing, but viewing the starry skies from the master bedroom is breathtaking. We even saw a variety of wildlife from the dining room windows. As a family of three adults, we were very comfortable and easily able to relax, either together or in our own spaces. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and a great shower! We have stayed in a variety of homes when traveling on vacations and, by far, this was the best home we have ever rented. We heartily recommend this home to others.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Vistas! Every view from this property is wonderful. It is perched perfectly on a mountain. We stayed here for our first trip to Yellowstone and a reunion with friends that we had not seen in many years. We had 7 in our party (4 adults and 3 children) it has a very spacious layout with plenty of room to relax and entertain. We loved the horse shoe pit, fire pit, hiking around the property and the tree swing was a real treat. This property is a great place to relax and catch up with friends. Our children really enjoyed the kids bedroom and attempting to help cook dinner in the well appointed kitchen. If you are sharing this house with friends you may all want to fight for the master bedroom because of the wonderful view. I also really recommend sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee at sunrise. Because of it's location it does take some time to get to but that is part of what makes it a great mountain adventure. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property our only regret is not staying longer.

Stunning mountain home that was paradise

  • 5 of 5

Cannot say enough of how nice this home was and how magnificent and stunning the surroundings were. Nature everywhere. Barely see another home. Great house with very updated interior that was stunning and everything you'd expect a mountain retreat to be. Had not one problem so never even had to contact the management other than texting when we arrived. This home offers anything you could think of. If we dare to make the three day drive from Michigan again we will definitely stay here. The one lane mountain pass is bumpy and treacherous but the home makes it worthwhile. Kudos to great management and an incredible location!

Rejuvenating base for relaxation and exploration

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! The privacy, mountain views, ample kitchen, and airy dining nook made this home a wonderful place to relax on the days we didn't head into Yellowstone. We saw elk bathe in the nearby pond, watched a coyote on the hunt, and heard mountain lion calls late at night. The kitchen is one of the most functional of any home I've ever cooked in...I've taken notes on the layout in case I ever have the opportunity to build/design my own! Our kids took the opportunity to try their hands at cooking a few meals, and we played TONS of board games on the spacious dining table.

The house is clean, well-built, and bug-free. It was nice to have all of the necessities taken care of, such as paper towels, dishwashing detergent, laundry soap, tp, etc. Most of the time when we rent a vacation house, we have to bring our own or head into town to stock up.

Two things to be aware of: the 2 mile drive up the private dirt road can be a little jarring, especially if you're not used to that sort of thing. I wouldn't let that keep your from renting the place: our van handled it fine, and the road is a small price to pay for the privacy and wonderful views. The other thing is that there is no AT&T cell reception at the house. In fact, AT&T coverage is spotty at best throughout the greater Yellowstone area. The owner provides a trac-fone for emergency calls. My folks had fine reception w/ their Verizon phones.

We wouldn't hesitate to return someday. I'd love to experience relaxing by the woodburning stove during the early winter!

We arrived in the late afternoon and found our mountain hideaway in a beautiful setting. We were surrounded by beauty in every direction with Mt. Emigrant illuminated to the east and douglas fir and meadows surrounding us to the south and west. Lots of butterflies, deer and elk about the property. The kids LOVED the rope swing.

The house looks brand new (I think construction just finished). All of the amenities were present including satellite TV, wi-fi, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and dining room. We enjoyed our stay very much and wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful views are outside of nearly every window!

Easy drive to/from Yellowstone National Park to this property. Gardiner, MT is 20 minutes away.
