About Owner/Property Manager
I am an enthusiastic traveler and have been booking my extended family’s vacations online for many years. Before each trip, I spend countless hours researching unique and comfortable hideaways for us to inhabit – in part because I am an online travel junkie, but mostly because I believe that the quality of the accommodations is a huge contributor to the success of any vacation. It's so much easier exploring new worlds when one's family has a comfortable place to sleep, bathe, decompress, and plan the next day's adventures. And even more than I love exploring other parts of the planet, I love introducing and sharing Frederick (my part of the planet since 1974) with others. I knew from day one that Frederick County had a very special charm. To me, it has only gotten more charming (and considerably more diverse) in the past 39 years. Presently, Frederick has no downtown hotel and just two popular downtown B&B’s. I was surprised to discover that there is a dearth of short-term furnished properties or vacation homes available to rent in the downtown area – a huge omission, from my perspective, because Frederick City and Frederick County are wonderful places for extended visits. At a crossroads in my life, I decided that something needed to be done about this. Thus the birth of Frederick Vacation Rentals (d.b.a. FrederickVacationRentalsdotcom)

Beautiful town Great House
Well-appointed house, lots of extras close enough to downtown to walk.
A wonderful "early" Thanksgiving at the Collector's House
We originally booked the Artist's House, but changed to the Collector's House after speaking with the owner (Nancy, who is very helpful) to gain some additional checkout time on Sunday. Nancy owns both the Artist's & Collector's Houses (two sides of a duplex). The accommodations where perfect for our family early Thanksgiving in Frederick. The house is inviting, clean and easy to get comfortable within. The dining room was just what we needed for a sit-down Thanksgiving meal and the full kitchen made cooking easy. The beds (sleep number beds!) were very comfortable (since we could adjust them to our liking) and there was plenty of bedding to meet our needs. The house is filled with memorabilia and it was fun getting a little background on the owner's family. We could walk to downtown Frederick for shopping and restaurants...very convenient. Finally, there is parking in the rear, which is very helpful for coming & going while staying at the Collector's House (or the Artist's House since both have parking off an alley that runs behind the properties). We recommend the Collector's House for anyone interested in visiting Frederick!
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at your house. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The house is in a great location, close to town, restaurants, bars and shops. I would stay here any time!
Enjoyed the house and very well stocked with essentials you need.
Everything you need is at the house. Lots of room and is a very good location to stay while visiting the area. Both Gettysburg and near the Metro at shady Grove to go to DC.
It was very nice. We had a great time!
The street was a little busy. That's why they invented ear plugs. Overall it worked out very well.
