About Mark Winkworth

I am a creative writer / communications consultant with clients located the world over. I drive an electric car that is powered by solar energy. Love great food and wine and of course travel to distant lands when we are able.

Mark Winkworth purchased this house in 2009

Why Mark Winkworth chose Los Angeles County

This is a dream home that fell into our laps. Pasadena enjoys the best of Los Angeles while still maintaining its small town appeal.

What makes this house unique

The views are stunning and never get old. Combined with a sense of privacy that you simply can not match in a city of this size. Pasadena has it all.

A place in a million

  • 5 of 5

From the moment you leave the freeway and start driving up the road towards the house you know you're in for something special and that feeling stayed with us for the whole month we were lucky enough to stay there. The house itself is an absolute joy - such clever architecture and such glorious views. Mark was a thoughtful host who responded quickly to any issues even though he was in Europe while we were there. I wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else.

Beautiful Home...Exceptional Views...Photos don't do this place justice..

  • 5 of 5

Mark could not have been more hospitable and responsive. His Manager Debbie is attentive and a pleasure to work with as well. I have stayed in a number of VRBO properties and you would hope all owners were like this. The house is incredible and the views are breathtaking. Beyond our expectations. A must stay if in Pasadena.

Pictures cannot do justice for many things in life and this home is no exception. Of course the photos on the VRBO website are attractive, but upon arrival to the property the home truly was more than expected. The views were absolutely breathtaking and watching fireworks down in the Rose Bowl was just an added bonus. The home was impeccably clean and comfortable, afforded tons of privacy, and was completely stocked with anything needed. A nice touch were the groceries that the owners left for us so we wouldn't go hungry after an eight hour day of travel from the East Coast. Much appreciated and truly a warm reception. The reservation process was swift and detailed, as was all instruction necessary to operate all the amenities in the home; from the outdoor gas fired fireplace, to the indoor gas fired fireplace, to the modern entertainment centers, to the high end kitchen appliances. Nothing was left out and the home was an absolute joy to complement a week in sunny California. Was worth every cent of the cost and would consider to rent again without reviewing any other properties if we ever return.

Fabulous residence in Pasadena

  • 5 of 5

This house is one of the most spectacular venues we've seen. Very comfortable for a family or 2 couples. All new kitchen and baths, very clean, fully furnished and well appointed for your stay. Can't say enough about the location, privacy, architecture and view. The web pictures don't begin to fully represent the house. Mark was extremely accommodating and hospitable. We will be back for a longer stay.

My family was lucky enough to stay in this beautiful home for five months and there wasn't a day we didn't enjoy it. The views are breathtaking and the home is so comfortable. Pictures cannot capture the serenity and beauty of this rare find. The owners are friendly and available when you need them. I hope we have an opportunity to stay here again and recommend it highly to everyone.

Perfect week in Pasadena Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautifully situated overlooking mountains and town with a view of L.A. in the distance. Well appointed, clean, comfortable in the extreme. The hosts have thought of everything. Hand cream, tissues, cooking essentials plus, tons of clean towels, beautiful bedding, seating outdoors and in, movies, suggestions for local eateries and grocers and on and on. Staying here made me feel like a privileged guest. The view doesn't get any less awe-inspiring with time. We couldn't recommend more highly.
