Livingston House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

The Who House, as we love to call her, is our very comfortable two story Victorian era home that has been recently upgraded and remodeled through a detailed historic and green restoration . There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first floor has the largest bedroom with a queen bed, double closets and a patio. The downstairs bathroom has an extra long claw foot tub with a separate shower. There is an adjacent laundry area. Also downstairs is the kitchen, a den room, and a large family gathering room that has the A/V system and the dining table which seats six very comfortably but could accommodate eight with additional chairs from the kitchen. Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and T.V., and the other with two cozy twins. The upstairs bathroom has a soaking tub with marble floors.

The Who House is relaxing, quiet, convenient and secure. You’ll feel just plain old “tucked in” while staying in this 1890’s gem. It is an incredible getaway - relax on one of the three patios or in the yard and soak up the small town atmosphere with a backdrop of the Absaroka Mountain range and our famous Big Sky; have a casually elegant dinner party with the wonderful everyday or holiday tableware and fully equipped kitchen; sink into the super comfy wing back chairs with a drink and watch TV; enjoy watching the game, a movie or a cranking up the music with the internally wired surround sound system; have some quiet time in the den; get comfortable in one of the club chairs with your computer or a book and watch it snow on the Douglas fir tree through the patio door. If you are here in the summer and early fall, enjoy lazing around the garden, eating organic herbs and vegetables, and picnicking and sunbathing in the large, private, beautifully landscaped yard.

The house has everything needed for a perfect vacation. It is loaded with books, playing cards, and puzzles. There is a state of the art entertainment system, classical and jazz CD’s, and an iPod port – so bring your CD’s and DVD’s and iPods. There is also wireless high speed internet. There are plenty of pillows, down comforters, towels. In the kitchen, there are new appliances – a gas stove, dishwasher, along with pots, pans, silverware and culinary spices. Throughout the home is a delightful collection of original art, antiques and rugs.

The Who House is located: just 5 easy blocks to historic downtown Livingston with movies, great restaurants, art galleries and shops; ½ mile to the Yellowstone River; 1 block to the Old Eastside School and Cultural Center- home to Crazy Mountain Productions and the Dulce Theatre; four blocks to the Blue Slipper Theater and the Firehall Athletic Club; 2 miles to the North Side Soccer Fields; 10 minutes to Paradise Valley- a mesmerizing land of sky reaching peaks above the Yellowstone River; 20 minutes to Chico Hot Springs; 1 hour to beautiful and legendary Yellowstone National Park; 25 minutes to Bozeman, MT- home of Montana State University, and the Museum of the Rockies; 40 minutes to Bridger Bowl Ski Area, a skier’s winter wonderland and home to the 2012 NCAA Skiing Championships in March.

So, after a long day in some of Mother Nature’s finest country, whether blue-ribbon trout fishing, skiing, hiking, sightseeing, sporting, perhaps working, or who knows what, come home to the wonderfully comfortable Who House.

About Gabriella Green

I have been a resident of Livingston for 26 years, actually right next door. I raised my children here and it was a truly wonderful life for them. I am a Real Estate professional, textile artist and enjoy yoga, cooking, hiking, the hot springs and all the great things this area has to offer.

Gabriella Green purchased this house in 2007

Why Gabriella Green chose Yellowstone Country

I chose this house because of its close proximity to my house and with the creative desire to make it a wonderful property. My partner, Peter and I lovingly brought this home back to life over a several year period. This house really is a dream come true. I'm sure you will love it as much as we do.

What makes this house unique

This house is well insulated and fenced to be very private. It offers a large, beautifully landscaped yard with mature trees and organic gardens and a stunning mountain view for your outdoor entertaining fun.

We'll Be Back

The Who House is remarkable and so is the owner Gabriella. Our stay was wonderful and cozy. The house is very quaint and clean, clean, clean. Move in ready for vacation, lovely artwork on every wall, and 5 stars. Fresh tomatoes picked from Gabriella’s garden…yum! Our grandchildren attend the Livingston schools and they stayed with us on our visit. They loved being so close to their school and friends. We walked to town to shop, eat, and even go to the children’s games at school. We played golf along the Yellowstone River in Livingston with the grandchildren. We cannot say enough of the host Gabriella and her wonderful cozy house. Looking forward to our next visit, we loved it.

Great house in town! Convenient to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at "The Who House" Gabriella was a terrific host and very understanding with our crazy family! Comfortable beds, awesome tv/sound system and a well appointed kitchen made for a nice place to wake up in and to return to each night. We were in town for a family wedding and our week was booked with events. Yellowstone was a short, scenic drive. Fishing mountain streams was easy ( Yellowstone river was muddied up due to recent rains) and successful. The town of Livingston is quite walkable and the locals are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time that was made more enjoyable by Gabriella and "The Who House" accommodations.

Excellent

Great place to stay. Great location close to town but far enough away from railroad which runs all night. Gabriella was very accommodating and we had a 1 year old so okay for toddlers also.

Would recommend anyone to book.

cute house in a great town!

  • 5 of 5

The who house is an 1800's home that has been restored by the current owner. The house has been nicely updated but has kept much of its 1800's charm, with amazing antique lighting fixures and some original flooring.

There are 3 bedrooms and two baths. Only one bath has a shower and its pretty small. The beds were comfortable. The house has everything you could need on a vacation ( including bear spray for your hikes). There is a roomy back yard with lots of vegetables and flowers.

The town of livingston is adorable. Its feels like it is stuck in the 50's, but there are many new trendy shops, restaurants and distilleries. Many of the bars have small casinos in them, which is fun. Drinks are cheap !! There is a small movie theater and a train musuem.

Its about an hour from the north entrance to Yellowstone and 30 min from Bozeman.

Gabriella was very friendly and helpful , the security deposit was returned quickly.

We had a wonderful time in "The Who House" and would absolutely recommend it!

  • 5 of 5

Gabriella was wonderful and made our stay comfortable starting from before we ever got to Livingston. Knowing we would be traveling with our baby, she went out and purchased a Pack n Play so we would not have to travel with our own - so unnecessary and so appreciated! She left fresh apples from her own garden for us to eat - such a warm and cozy gesture - and made sure we had everything we needed. The house itself was equipped with lots of cooking appliances and utensils, and fun games and puzzles to truly make it a home away from home. Hope we get to visit again someday!

Very, very nice!

  • 5 of 5

The "Who" house was perfect! Very comfortable and close to downtown Livingston. In fact, so close, that we

walked to restaurants and galleries.

Gabriella, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. She was there to greet us upon our arrival and gave us a tour so we did not have to hunt for things. She has even planted a vegetable garden and encouraged us to pick and eat anything that was ripe! One evening, I grilled steaks with sides of garden fresh grilled, tomatoes, squash and potatoes.

I would definitely recommend staying at the "Who" house and would stay there again.
