Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
Proximity to canyon lodge and covered parking the only redeeming quality of this tired unit
Aside from some appliances, tv’s,and the beds, not much else appears to have been upgraded since the unit was constructed many years ago. The kitchen floor and cabinets are very tired, barstools are stained and not presentable, and the faucet in the kitchen is past its prime by 20+ years. Sorry for the bluntness, but the degree of stinginess on display in this unit is insulting considering that, when all fees and rent are totaled, it costs upwards of $500/night to stay in the place during prime time. Warning: unlike other units in the complex, where the keys are conveniently available for pickup and drop off onsite, this unit requires you to pick up and return the keys in town. Because checkout is at 10AM, and you’re technically no longer allowed to park in the complex after that time, it means that you need to exit the unit and return the key to town by 7:15AM if you have any intention of returning to find parking at Canyon Lodge before the free parking fills by 7:45AM. A lock box or means to access/return the keys at the complex would be a huge plus.

No heat. No hot water. Smelly. Hard as rock beds. Stiff as a board towels. Overall very dissatisfied
The room was ridiculously out dated. Only one shower can be used at a time with 30 min in between because the water does r stay hot. The beds. OMG horrible you can hear every spring move when you breathe. The heater didn’t even work well. And it smelled like Indian curry. Overall nasty place to be renting out.

Ok
The key for the place is located in a different office (approx 10 mins away from the condo) So you’d have to drive there, get the key and drive back there to drop it off on time. The heater did NOT work at all. Water heater was also limited so some of us had to shower with ice cold water. The place overall was okay. It had the old carpet and furnitures smell. Dish soap and dish washer soap were limited so you’d have to again, drive to the main office for more. The location of the condo is very good though, it’s close to the Canyon Lodge. 1 car garage parking. Coin laundry available. Like the other reviews, the condo is an OK place just to sleep in.

Quaint, convenient and enjoyable.
We stayed in this condo following the recent snow storm in early March, 2018. It was in a convenient location with a great view. Check-in was a breeze and the condo was ready as promised with plenty of towels and bath amenities. The decor is dated, but everything was functional. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of extra blankets/pillows if needed. Kitchen was stocked with every utensil and piece of cookware you would need. Coffee maker worked great. The heat in the unit was fine. In fact, the loft area gets warm at night (even with an outdoor temp of 6 degrees Fahrenheit) so we kept the thermostat set fairly low in the main living area. Heating consists of two wall units and a fireplace that is integrated with the thermostat (identical to many lodges in the area). The master bedroom was the only room that felt cold, but was easily fixed with a standalone floor heater that can be moved as-needed. It did its job. Lamp lighting was decent, though one lamp in the main den was missing a bulb. The loft is a little dark at night and could benefit from an extra floor lamp. The loft gets early morning light from the large picturesque window which faces the mountain. Great views, especially with snow on the ground and in the trees. Great entertainment value - a large selection of board games and every room had a TV. The internet worked great - no issues as reported in another review. In fact, we had three kids all on iPads and nobody had any issues. Outdoor parking was simple and easy with one indoor garage spot. The complex is walking distance to the Canyon Lodge, with two blue line bus stops in walking distance either direction. We arrived in snow and icy conditions, chains required. The entrance to the complex and short drive to the unit is an incline, steep at times. Our 2 wheel drive vehicle made it, but felt a little slippery, mainly near the front entrance. Without chains I don't think it would have made it. The complex is plowed regularly. Overall, we were very satisfied with the condo and price. We had a great time and would book this unit again at the right price. Thank you!!
