Why Maureen Markle chose Breckenridge Ski Resort

I have spent as much time as possible in the mountains since I moved to Colorado over 30 years ago. My current job entails some traveling and I am happy to share my home while I'm away so that others can experience the beauty and wonder of Colorado!

What makes this condo unique

I enjoy skiing at all of the mountains in the area. I also love the summers here with numerous hiking trails and amazing flowers and wildlife.

Loved it.

The condo was very well appointed, but it is a little small. My son and I stayed there for 2 days by ourselves and it was perfect... when my 2 daughters joined us it was a bit cramped... ya just have to make sure your kids put their stuff away.

Also, very close to the mountain - Peak 7 and 8 - and close to the bus route. But at the end of the day we found it easier to just ski down 4 o'clock run and walk down the hill to the condo rather than wait for the bus.

All-in-all a great little condo and I would definitely stay again.

Great place to land in Breckenridge

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed staying here and found it wonderfully convenient to getting to the slopes with a short walk to the bus stop or a short walk to Peak 8 base. The condo is well maintained with lots of light and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking as at home.

Fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Maureen's home. She was very easy to work with and gave lots of great insight to Breckenridge. The shuttle picks you up right on the corner; it was so easy to get to the slopes! We had everything we needed in the condo and it was very clean upon arrival. This is a fantastic place to stay!

Lovely condo, great amenities!

  • 5 of 5

Condo was stocked with everything we needed for our 8 day stay. Close-ish to town, black route buses ran frequently. Maureen was super easy to work with! Only thing that wasn’t perfect was the beds as they were somewhat uncomfortable. Otherwise great place to stay in Breck!

Nice clean place, well stocked.

  • 4 of 5

The stay for a dad and 2 teenage boys was good. The place had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was clean and in a good location, however for a somewhat fit mid-westerner the walk to the slopes isn't advisable. I'd recommend the 1 1/2 block walk down hill and wait for a black line bus to take you to peak 7, or other lifts if you stay on the bus. The ski-in stop we used was an ~ 3 block up-hill walk that was not much fun after leaving it all on the mountain.

Owner's Response: Hi Brian, I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Breckenridge. My place is at an elevation of almost 10,000 feet so the quarter mile to the gondola on Peak 8 can be challenging at first. I'm sorry you didn't find the shuttle stop right across from the complex though, rather than going further down the road. Any shuttle that stops along Ski Hill Road goes to the gondola but definitely find the Black line in town to go back up to Gold Camp. And unless it's one of those terrific snow years, Gold Camp isn't good for skiing in as you discovered :( I'm happy you had a good time with your boys and I hope you will be able to come back to Breckenridge in the future!
