Little Bear Cabin, with fantastic forest views and room for up to 12 guests, is a must-stay-at Government Camp vacation rental!
Gather everyone together after a day of enjoying Mt. Hood attractions and relax in the cozy living room that comes complete with a flatscreen TV and entertainment center.
An open and upscale kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances coaxes out your inner chef and includes plenty of seating around the island.
The master bedroom can be found on the top floor and includes a queen-size bed with a private bathroom and an open loft that houses an additional queen mattress. A large bathroom splits the hall between this room and the second upstairs bedroom, which includes two sets of bunk beds and a queen bed.
The third bedroom is on the main floor and contains another set of bunk beds and queen bed as well.
For family reunions or large retreats, consider renting the Big Bear Cabin just steps away from Little Bear, allowing a combined total of 31 guests.
There's even plenty of room for you to bring up to two of you dog friends. Just remember we have a nightly fee per dog, with an additional minimum fee per stay.
The cabin is conveniently located close to the base of Glade Trail, which is connected to Timberline Ski Area, which is a favorite with snowboarders, skiers, and those who like to snowshoe.
In summertime, take in the sounds of beautiful Camp Creek that runs between Big and Little Bear cabins. Big Bear and Little Bear do share a hot tub.
For a real wooded mountain getaway, Little Bear Cabin is a great Mount Hood vacation rental for your group!
Giant exposed log beams, semi-isolation in the woods, and big windows to see the woods made it feel rustic, but it was (mostly) very comfortable.
Little Bear Cabin is a great little cabin located in Govt. Camp, walking distance to town to restaurants and stores. A short drive across HWY 26 to Ski Bowl, and a short 10 min. drive to Timberline. Nice kitchen, 3 bathrooms, a small living space, but sleeps quite a few people. If at all possible, don't rent through VACASA, they are VERY slow to respond to problems that arose during our stay.
Gaining entrance, with the "key lock" (we're not familiar with these) took about 20 minutes before it we got it opened. Once we got the key in-hand it took another 30 minutes to work the lock. Honestly, our whole weekend depended on this. Calls to the office were not answered/or returned and came very close to turning the whole group back home. Once open (like picking a lock) the door latch did not work properly, locking us out if someone was not on the inside to simply open the door. Very, very close to shutting down our whole vacation.
We stayed at Little Bear Cabin for my daughters wedding at Timberline. The cabin is well maintained, cozy and comfortable. It's missing a fireplace though. We were there during a snow storm and would have froze had the power gone out. There were some concerns over the safety of the pathways on the property when snowing and the cabin was hard to locate. Overall, a high rating for the cabin, but not so much the pathway to get to it. The pathway had snow fall into it from the Big Bear cabin and we had to dig it out. Other than the path and the lady that lives above the cabin who yelled at us to stay away from her property, the cabin itself was great. Cabin was well stocked and very comfortable for 8 people.
We enjoyed our stay at Little Bear Cabin immensely! The location was great, the cabin was updated, very clean and absolutely adorable! We would definitely stay here again!
