The house is located in the historical center of Loenen aan de Vecht near the villages of Nieuwersluis, Breukelen, Vreeland, Loenersloot, Baambrugge, Vinkeveen and Loosdrecht. A little further you will find the large village Hilversum and the cities Amsterdam and Utrecht.
Shops, cafés and restaurants are within walking distance, literally around the corner. Golf lovers can enjoy the new Golf Course located just outside the village center.
The ground floor sitting room has an open plan kitchen and a backdoor leading to a small patio outside. Most furniture is antique in style with the rest of the house. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge and a gas fire cooker.
There is an HD TV set and ofcourse WIFI internet access. There is a toilet in the hall right where you enter the house.
The master bedroom on the first floor offers a full size comfortable bed with a high quality mattress. The bathroom is situated right next to the master bedroom.
On the second floor you will find a second bedroom which shows the old character of the house even more thanks to the construction where many beams are used. The room has a king size bed with again a very good mattress.
The house has central heating creating a warm house even under the coldest circumstances.
Loenen is known for its wide variety of restaurants like 'Tante Koosje' or 'Het Amsterdammertje' of which the latter has a Michelin star. The greater area is known for the river Vecht and its stately 17th century homes along the river. The village is centrally located (15 minute drive) between the cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht . The nearby village of Loosdrecht is well known for watersports on the lake and the media village Hilversum is also only a 15 minute drive away. The bakery is just around the corner, where you can get croissants and rolls for your breakfast (except on Sundays).
Plenty of things to do around the village though. Free parking is available in a parking lot also just around the corner. Public transportation (bus) is within walking distance. One can take a bus to the Breukelen (Brooklyn NY was named after this town) and hop on a train.

They would own property along the canals in Amsterdam and for the weekends and holidays they would live in villages such as Loenen aan de Vecht, Nieuwersluis and Breukelen. Loenen is well known for its restaurants.
