A piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

This home is a heavenly sanctuary. Everything you need is provided.

I found it very easy to ease into my boat slip on Taylor creek. Cast netted for finger Mullet right off the dock and headed out every day fishing in the ocean.

When you come back tired and hot from ocean fishing, set up a chair in the shady back yard, grab a cold drink and sit and fish right there.

After a few days you won't even want to fish in the back yard. It is just exciting to watch huge Drum fish shake the tidal pool chasing the schools of bait fish.

I liked to head into historic Beaufort, Have a soft shell crab sandwich, catch a Praline ice cream at the General Store then walk to the Maritime Museum.

Sometimes in the afternoon after coming back from the ocean fishing in the boat I would take a Zodiac inflatable boat ride about 300 yards from the dock to the Rachel Carlson Marine Preserve and take a quick dip in the clear waters of Taylor creek. Then walk the boardwalk out to see the wild horses.

The Piggly Wiggly super market is only 2 miles away and always has the best beef around. There is also a local fresh fish market about half way to Piggly Wiggly. The owner recommended the scallop cakes and boy they were good.

High tech washer and dryer.

Complete kitchen.

A dream house.

If God would grant me just one wish, it would be to live here forever.

I never met the owner Jeff but from our communications I wish he was my next door neighbor.

Such a wonderful home to stay in!,,

  • 5 of 5

Found this home on short notice. The owner was absolutely wonderful to work with. The house was beautiful and so spacious. It really worked well to "divide" the different families down for a wedding. The home was very nice, well decorated and equipped, the location is fantastic, and the view from the screened in porch was perfect. Will be coming back here for sure!!!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house is exactly as described and portrayed. It is very clean and tastefully furnished. Our group was not large, but the home is roomy enough for a much larger group. I love the location -- it is situated in a beautiful neighborhood and is just a short distance away from the boat docks. Also, the local bus, "The Mullett" runs on the main avenue and it is very easy and fun to use. Beaufort goes out of its way for tourists, both by providing an interesting array of experiences for all ages, and by providing ample information about local events. The owner was very helpful to me -- early on, I managed to misplace my contract and emailed with a question. The owner not only provided information, but emailed a new contract. I recommend this house and this town for a wonderful beach vacation for people of all ages..

Delightful Beaufort experience

  • 5 of 5

Large house with plenty of room to spread out and maintain separate quarters when necessary but intimate enough for large family gatherings. Great outdoor spaces with large upper deck and screened in porch. While we were a small party staying there it would be great for a bigger group. Quiet cul de sac on marsh tide pond with great view of Taylor's creek. Jeff answered all of our questions and went above and beyond in accommodating our needs. Would definitely consider going back during the summer. Delightful experience.
