Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We live in N. Myrtle Beach, SC. I have been in banking for 44 years and my husband has been in golf apparel sales for 30 years. We have 2 children-our daughter is married and has one son (age 6 and he just adores feeding the deer and chipmunks) and our son lives in Matthews, NC, recently married and he and his wife are graduates of ASU. We had a wonderful pembroke welsch corgi named Harley and he loved the mountains! He passed away this year, but I don't have the heart to take his picture off of our post. I plan to retire in May 2017 and hopefully spend more time here.

We chose to buy a house in this area because it was a wonderful escape from the summer heat and humidity. My husband loves to golf in the summer and ski in the winter, i enjoy relaxing by the fire and the cool summers overlooking the mountains on our decks.We absolutely adore all 4 seasons. Great place to relax & unwind.

we enjoy the hiking trails, local fishing spots, the wildlife (especially the deer) that just hang out right in your yard, great time for a morning walk with our dog Harley and sipping coffee out on the deck on the cool mornings, just minutes from Freds General Store and skiing-new recreational facility just minutes away. We have had some remarkable times with family getting together and going to Grandfather Mtn. to the zoo and also Tweetsie Railroad is a great place for family time as well. The lists just go on and on--
