Views! Views! and more Views!

If you want to feel like you are in a treehouse looking out toward Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains, this is definitely the place for you. This charming apartment with 900 sq.ft.of living space has breath-taking views of Puget Sound and a spacious deck that will make you feel like you are floating above the earth. The home is located on the upper floor of a distinctive 1908 Queen Anne home, with a lovely staircase leading up to your hideaway.

Location! Location! Location!

Queen Anne is one of Seattle's oldest and most popular neighborhoods. You'll be located on the southwest corner of Queen Anne Hill, with all of the city's happenings just beyond your front door. If you love to walk, there are tons of 'greenbelts' with stairways and walkways to explore the charming and diverse neighborhoods of Queen Anne. Within 5 blocks of the house in all directions you'll find Kerry Park, Kinnear Park, Parson's Gardens, the Seattle Grind coffee shop, 10th West Cafe and stunning views to the south and west. 7 blocks gets you to the famous and delicious McCrina Bakery, worth every step, and friendly Ken's Market! 10 blocks gets you to Upper QA and the 'Avenue', home to many bars, restaurants, gourmet groceries, boutiques and more. If walking is not your thing, no worries, the bus stop is across the street from the house. You're within minutes of the Seatte Center & Space Needle, the Gates Foundation, Lake Union, Pikes Market, Downtown shopping and world class restaurants, the waterfront & ferries, the Sports Stadiums & Pioneer Square.

The Space!

As you enter this light filled space and step into the inviting living room, you will first be wowed by the views. Then you might notice the comfy sofa, the conversational side chairs, the table for four by the westernly view window, the 40' flat screen TV with a DVR, BluRay DVD player and a docking station/speaker system for your iPad, iPhone or iPod. Or you might just step from the living room right out onto the deck to breathe in the salty air and watch the ferries and sailboats or gaze at the sunset over the Olympic Mountains.

Or if you're tired from your travels, you may want to go into the large bedroom to put your things away in the huge walk-in closet and then rest on the queen Beautyrest, pillowtop bed.

When you get up, wander down the hall to the well-stocked kitchen. There you'll find glass and dinnerware, pots and pans, spices, oils, coffee beans, everything you need to cook a feast from the fresh items you'll buy at Pike Place Market.

Off the hall is quaint den with a Euro Lounger (that folds down to accommodate addtional guests in your party) and a desk where you can house your laptop and tend to all your wi-fi needs.

All the furniture and fixtures in this charming space were brand new in 2012, the walls were freshly painted and the coffee is always freshly ground. The owner is welcoming and only steps away to answer your questions and insure your stay is special.

So please come and enjoy the best views and location around!

Thank You!

About The Owner

I grew up in the Southeast and migrated west after college. When I landed here in Seattle in 1980, it felt like home. I love the mountains and the water and the Northwest has it all.

The Owner purchased this house in 1988

Why The Owner chose Seattle

Upon arriving in Seattle I rented the upstairs of this charming home for 7 years. In 1988 I bought the house from my Landlord and continued to live upstairs until my daughter was 2 when we moved downstairs. I then rented the upstairs space to long-term renters until this summer. We know how special the views and location are and felt we wanted to share it with visitors to Seattle. We have stayed in VRBO rentals in many places in the world during our travels and felt like this apartment is such a find in Seattle, that it would be a special place for visitors to experience this great city. We love Queen Anne and have never thought of living anywhere else in the City.

What makes this house unique

Besides the clear water and sunshine mountain views you get from this apartment, it is really exciting when the weather turns a bit stormy and you have a front row seat to watch the storm roll in from the south across the Sound.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. It was central to all the area traveling we planned to do. It was exactly as described with fantastic views, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Linda was an excellent hostess. If ever back in Seattle we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in Linda's upper apartment for three days last in September 1016. It was clean, quiet, convenient to the city, (bus line stops out front every 20 minutes), close to the Queen Anne village with shopping, groceries, etc. Nice comfortable bed, big flat screen TV, deck that overlooks the harbor with a patio grill. Well stocked kitchen and big bath with tub/shower combination. Nice space that I would stay in again.

Comfortable and cozy, breathtaking view

  • 5 of 5

My dad and I stayed in Linda's flat in mid-September while visiting family in the Seattle area. We found the accommodations to be comfortable, clean, cozy and a view to die for. The view cannot be captured in a photo, you will have a hard time leaving that view once you see it! The flat is in a great location and convenient to Seattle, there is a bus stop right across the street to take you downtown. There is a fabulous little cafe about 4 blocks down the street, great food. Linda has done a wonderful job making the flat feel like home. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped, there were plenty of bath towels and fresh linen should you need it. Linda is very friendly and very helpful with questions about the area. We will definitely stay here again next year and for a longer time. I know you will enjoy staying here.

Unbelievable Views!!

  • 5 of 5

The flat was well located, close to downtown, the Seattle Center, Ballard and Fremont. Queen Anne is a great neighborhood. The flat was quiet and clean. The owner is very nice and makes you feel welcome. The deck had great views of the Sound and the mountains. The stairway is a bit steep if you have significant joint issues. I have no reservations recommending this fine property.

We have been here for the last couple of days having been on a cruise and then a worldwind tour of the Olympic peninsula. I could not have found a better place to relax at the end of this trip. The views are outstanding, the location fantastic and the owner is so kind and attentive. LInda, You have an ideal place here, thank you for the flowers, the wine and chocolates. You made us feel very welcome! If we ever come this way again, we will be in touch! THank you!!😄

Owner's Response: Thanks Kathleen! It was so good to meet and chat with you both. You definitely got a wonderful taste of the NW corner of the U.S., between your Alaska cruise and touring of the beautiful Olympic peninsula. I'm glad you found the flat to be comfortable and a good place to relax. And I'm hoping the Hermine storm did not cause you any issues in your travels home yesterday. I look forward to possibly seeing you in the future. Best, Linda

Wonderful little flat with sunset views to die for

  • 5 of 5

We loved Linda's flat, which is charming and comfortable. And the deck is fantastic! Rather than just repeat all the previous superlatives, we'll suggest that guests take a walk to nearby Kerry Park and see that iconic Seattle view and head to Metropolitan Market in Queen Anne for groceries (the flat is nicely equipped for cooking). Restaurant wise, we were blown away by How to Cook a Wolf, also in Queen Anne, which is part of hot local chef Ethan Stowell's mini empire (maybe the best of them, in our opinion). One suggestion for light sleepers: Since the bedroom faces a street that gets a reasonable amount of traffic, bring earplugs to address the issue. We'll definitely be staying in this super flat again!
