As one of the desirable corner downstairs units, decorated in Tommy Bahama style decor, this condo is comfortable and well equipped for your fun in the sun vacation getaway. Both bedrooms have California King beds with separate private bathrooms. Beautiful tropical plants surround a large lanai for outdoor living/entertaining. The lanai has beautiful views of the mountains and the oceon off to the horizon. Condo has top of the line gas BBQ pits located at the property's pools as well as Jacuzzis. Lawn chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and an ice chest are available for your use as you prepare your day to snorkle, hike, boogie board, sightsee, shop or just sun bathe on one of the many beautiful beaches near by.

Owners take pride in their 2nd home. This is not a rental pool property so looking for renters who are responsible.

About The Owner

I live in California and the co-owner lives in Arizona. Each of us both look to spend 3 months a piece in Kona when we retire so this is a 2nd home. Check out my Texas Gulf coast beach front condo on vrbo #389636.

Why The Owner chose Kailua-Kona

Visited Kona area 2 to 4 times a year and decided in November, 2011 to purchase this condo with my best friend. We love this complex for its location, well maintained grounds and amenities.

What makes this condo unique

This is a total turn key vacation stay. 600 thread count sheets, down pillows, plush towels, totally equipped kitchen, and designer patio furniture with a large umbrella coverage in the lanai. We have stayed at the resorts in the area, but there is nothing like having the comfort of feeling like you own a home in Hawaii. We are looking for renters who want to take care of our property like it is their own and enjoy it as much as we do!

Thanks for letting us stay in your 2nd home. We sure enjoyed our stay! I have cried several times today knowing I have to leave. It is nice having the coffee grinder for the fresh Kona coffee. The chairs and umbrellas for the beach are nice. I tried boogie boarding, but alas, the snorkeling will have to do. Thanks for your hospitality!

Comfy, clean and neat.

Did my 1 month stay here for my ironman world

Championship training and race week. The location is great and plenty of space around the house and backyard to clean bike and do any servicing. Cooked almost all my meals in the house and I have everything I need in the kitchen. Looking forward to making it my future ironman training house again. :)

Very nice condo, well equipped and great location

Spent 2 months in this condo. Loved it because it was well equipped with everything you need that you can't bring from home. Nice ventilation with the fans, never needing the a/c. Great location to easy walk or drive into town or from ocean and all beaches. Well maintained. Can't wait to come back.

Perfect!

This was our second time renting this for 30 days and we couldn't be more pleased. Cynthia and Frank have created a great home away from home. The unit is close to Kona in a complex with 2 great swimming pools. We found it to be comfortable & quiet. The lanai is spacious and very enjoyable to eat meals out there. Thank you so much for another wonderful stay!

Very nice, clean and roomy condo with great location

Very clean and well maintained condo was perfect for my vacation. Two bedrooms - each with king size beds and two full bathrooms. Kitchen with everything you need and a lovely lanai for a quiet cup of coffee in the mornings or for star gazing at night. Downstairs unit is far enough away from Alii so there is no traffic noise and neighbors are considerate during the quiet times between 10:00pm and 8:00am. Nice breezes with opening the windows - no need for A/C units (even though they had them, I never used them) Just a short walk to the lovely pool & jacuzzi. Owner had everything ready when I arrived and was quick to respond to making reservations. Also had beach chairs, igloo/cooler, and boogie boards available. Convenient parking too. Just a short drive or walk to Kailua town, Magic Sands Beach, and the coolest snorkeling place on the island. Best experience I've had with VRBO. Would love to spend another month there!

Good Value

I stayed in this condo for 3+ weeks. The pro's...the complex is nice, pools clean, parking close to unit, super large lanai, no bugs (although you will need mosquito repellent on the lanai), comfortable bed, lots of towels. Con's...it is not across the street from the beach. It is about a 7-10 minute walk, and not to a beach, but to the ocean (lava rock like most of Kona area). You will likely not be walking to a beach with your boogie board, etc. and swimming. There is a very small sandy beach about 3/4 of a mile away. Kailua Town is a one and half mile walk. I had hoped to be walking everywhere, but it's a bit far. You will need a car.

Overall, this condo was not perfect, but was a good value for the cost and I appreciated being able to afford 3 weeks in Kona.

Gorgeous lanai!

Alii Lani is a fantastic complex. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything I needed for my stay. The location is perfect--close to town and great snorkeling beach, yet far enough away from busy Kona to be peaceful and serene. I enjoyed long walks and daily use of the pool. Community library was well stocked with books and puzzles. The owners have thought of everything from towels to boogie boards and a cooler to take to the beach. There are even condiments in the fridge which was a real bonus. The biggest asset of this condo is the beautiful ground floor lanai--more like a back yard--very private. I ate most of my meals on the lanai and enjoyed lounging and reading a book in this peaceful setting.
