About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-7)

This cozy mountain retreat is within walking distance to the ski slopes yet is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac. You can fall in love with the tranquility of the mountains, or enjoy your favorite activity within minutes either by car or on foot. Every season is a different experience at Big Bear Lake so you will want to visit often and try out all the different options from the Alpine Slide to Ziplines!

This newly renovated cabin has been our family vacation home and is only now being offered for rental so it is spotlessly clean and no detail has been overlooked for your comfort. This lovely cabin is on a paved road that is maintained and plowed quickly during snowy weather so accessibility is not a problem.

There is a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a loft with 3 twin beds for your use. The couch on the main level opens into a queen sized bed if extra sleeping space is needed. The open floor plan and wood beam ceilings give the cabin a rustic feel so you feel like you are getting away from the everyday hustle and bustle. This is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy family and friends.

Our favorite things to do when staying here are minutes away. In the summer we love to hit the different beaches in the area. There are rentals for any watersport imaginable and rental companies all along Big Bear Blvd, There are hiking trails not far from the cabin, the Alpine slide has a waterslide, Go Karts, and mini golf. Horseback riding, fishing, golf (walking distance), boat tours, Off-road adventures - these are only a few of the options! In the winter there is skiing of course - Bear Mountain is known for having the largest beginner area in the region and also some of the steepest terrain in SoCal. There are movie theaters, the funplex, bowling, shopping in 'The Village' - to name a few. But our kids enjoy the Big Bear Snowplay tubing park and just sledding in the yard the best. The great thing about sledding in the yard is when the adults are worn out and the kids still want to play, we can go inside and sit snuggled by the fire and appreciate the fun in comfort.

Come make some great memories. You will love it as much as we do!

Keywords: Approximately 2 hours from most So Cal coastal areas. Walk to Bear Mountain Ski Resort. Minutes from Big Bear Lake and 'The Village'.

Beautifully decorated!

My family spent two nights here. Loved it! Just be prepared to rent movies - no cable no wifi. We actually had to put down our phones and visit! We'll be back!

Great Cabin in Big Bear

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Big Bear. Cabin was perfect for the two of us but enough for more. It was nice to sit on front porch and be in a quiet peaceful place. Cabin was close to everything we needed. Dinner out at Captains Anchorage, visit to the village, walk around the lake. Cabin was clean and cozy. Will be back again!

Small but charming

  • 4 of 5

This cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay, from pots and pans to warm blankets and towels. The outside deck was great for sipping coffee/tea - could use a bbq. The location is easy to find, and the many sleds available was appreciated.

However, during our stay the kitchen sink did not work properly and it only ran cold water which made it very difficult to wash dishes. The water turn off switch at the end of the drive was filled with water so I could not turn it off/on. Some of the pots had rust on them so you should wash carefully, or bring your own pot as I always do. No sheets were provided for the pull out sofa - but we made it work.

Also, the upper loft could be dangerous for young kids as the stairs are at a steep angle and there is no landing or guard rail. One of my nephews fell down the stairs.

I think it is a good cabin for couples with no kids.

Cute little cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Karine was very easy to get a hold of if any issues came up. Overall a great weekend getaway.

Lovely, comfortable cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a couple nights here and enjoyed it very much. We loved the variety of DVDs to watch as well as the game collection. The quiet location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. We look forward to returning in the summer to take advantage of the large front deck!

Notes:
This FIRST TIME RENTAL has been a family vacation home and is only now being made available to renters. It has been completely renovated within the last year and is tastefullly decorated in a country/cabin style. It is spotless from top to bottom. Perfect for families with children and/or pets. Located in a quiet cul de sac so children can safely play outside - our kids like to sled right in the yard during the winter and play with scooters or bikes in the summer. Minutes from the best Big Bear has to offer!
