Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
Cozy modern mountain cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just 75 minutes north of Los Angeles, CA. Pine Mountain is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets--a small alpine village with a four-season climate. We have light snow in the Winter, spectacular wildflowers in Spring, and gorgeous Fall colors. It's a wonderful getaway—and yet so close! harmonious
Our two-story home is located on a quiet street at 5771 feet. Lovely pine ceilings throughout the cabin contribute to the warm ambience. The 1100 sq. ft. interior is furnished in a modern style with a leather sofa and some cool abstract art on the walls. The living room has a wood stove and 50' HDTV with direct satellite & Blu Ray DVD. A skylight in the living room brings in lots of light.
The master bedroom (queen bed) is separate from the downstairs and reached via a spiral staircase leading up to French doors. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a skylight over the double length tiled shower. A second bedroom downstairs has a day bed with trundle.
Upper and lower decks offer lovely views of Mt. Pinos and the San Emigdio range. Relax on the sunny decks or in the Adirondack chair near the pond surrounded by pine trees. Plan to do some bbqing--it is so pleasant to do some grilling on the upper deck bbq and dine outdoors.
Our cabin is VERY clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people. PLEASE no smoking or pets! Four guest passes to club facilities are provided (e.g. tennis courts, golf course, pool, club lounge, cafe, game room). Wireless INTERNET accessible throughout the cabin so bring your laptop! We also provide an Ethernet cable, if needed.
Mt. Pinos has the best view of the stars in So. California—star parties are common whenever there is a new moon. In addition, since we are in the Padres National Forest - wildlife (deer, raccoons, bobcat, fox, bunnies, squirrels, quail, stellar and scrub jays) abounds. Rare California Condor preserve located on Cerro Noroeste Road (main road through town) approximately 15 miles west.
We have an extraordinary number of sunny days—it is rare to have a gloomy day. Since SNOW may be present during cooler months be sure to carry chains. Our roads are well-maintained but the CHP is strict about safety when snow is possible. Sledding awaits at Mt. Pino's (8300' - 8800') just 15-20 minutes away, GREAT for cross-country skiing and snow-play destination!
The local Village Commercial Center is 2 miles away and offers access to a market, gift shops, several restaurants, ice cream store, laundromat and a spa. There are lots of hiking trails nearby as well as a fishing pond!
Must be age 25 or older for rental.

Quiet and Peaceful
Cabin was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Loved the TV and all the movies available. The owner, Debra, was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Great escape from everyday life!!
Overall Great Host
We came up for New Years weekend away from the kids. This cabin was the only one left available. Debra was more then accommodating by allowing us to stay a day less then was required (as we only where able to get the kids watched for 2 days not 3). The 2 bed rooms are spacious and kitchen is ideal for cooking. We enjoyed being able to use the BBQ and stove for the weekend of great food and company. A couple issues arouse due to previous guest that stayed but Debra was extremely helpful with rectifying the situations as best she could. I was very happy that when we had to call her she kept in touch until the situations where taken care of. Overall our stay was perfect and we cant wait to get away again soon.
Quaint, clean, quiet.
We received all the information we needed to arrive and get settled—which was much appreciated. No digging around or trying to log in for the info when out cell phones didn't work in the area! We found the cabin to be clean and neat and very well stocked with anything we might need. The kitchen had sufficient pots, pans, plates, flatware, etc. There were plenty of extra blankets. Bathrooms were spotless—really appreciated! Plenty of wood so we could have a nice fire which really warmed the entire place up. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. :)
Absolutely perfect family getaway
My husband and I stayed here with our 2-1/2 yr old son and 9 month old daughter and we had the best time. The cabin was perfect - so comfortable and cozy with everything we could have needed, including a chest of toys which our 2 yr old was THRILLED about (kept him occupied all weekend!). The views are breathtaking and we felt so relaxed there - I cannot state enough how relaxing and cozy our stay was. What an amazing gem, we are so glad to have discovered Pine Mountain Club AND Debra's cabin! She was a perfect host!
Owners are very friendly, communicative and ready for your visit. Would rent again.
Beautiful Cabin with Attention to Detail
We stayed here for the weekend. Debra is a great host and provided tons of information before our stay. The cabin is just as described - the right blend of modern amenities with the feel of a cabin, including wood stove. We enjoyed several nearby hikes, grilling on the deck and a coffee Sunday morning surrounded by active birds, squirrels and other wildlife. A great place to stay!
