Casa De Las Flores is on Island of Taboga just 12 mles from the coast of Panama City, Taboga itself (known as the Island of Flowers) is only accessible by a short ferry ride from Amador Causeway in Panama City, the ferry travel back & forth from Island to the City several times per day.
Our home sits on a hill with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean which can be seen from almost all rooms, its quaint & charming and its 4min. walk down to the beach. the home is 3 levels & has a very large covered patio facing the Ocean..You will find yourself spending a lot of time there either enjoying your meals, reading a book with a cocktail or simply taking a siesta... all while looking out at the breathtaking view it offers.
There is plenty of privacy due to the fenced 10-14ft gated fence of bougainvillea flowers that surrounds the whole property.
This home comes fully equipped and furnished offers 2 bedrooms & 2 1/2 bathrooms air condition in all rooms, telephone, television, DVD player & internet access. There is no cable TV service so bring your own DVD,s of you will enjoy the outdoors and re-connecting with each other and disconnecting from the world of TV even if its for a little while.... besides you can always stay in touch via internet if you want the latest news etc. etc.
Should you get Island fever, then the cure is to hop on the ferry and go to Panama City a short lovely peaceful trip of 30-40min. once there you can shop till you drop enjoy the many many restaurants that offer all kinds of cuisine you can also take tours like visiting the canal the rainforest and many can go for the day or stay for a weekend once you have had your fill and wish to go back to peace quite relaxing you can head back to our little heaven n Taboga.
The Island of Taboga is very quaint with approx. 900 residents, it has a vast history dating back to the Conquistador, the pirate Captain Morgan and is home to the 2nd oldest Catholic church in the Western Hemisphere. There s even a dedication on the Island to the French painter Paul Gauguin who visited and lived there in 1887. This Island boasts fishing and nature trails. Depending on the season you can get fresh crab, lobster, shrimps and octopus besides the lovely fresh fish which fishermen catch and our housekeeper can arrange for you. For a small fee the housekeeper she is also available to cook delicious daily local meals , wash clothes and assist you with other request.
In addition we can arrange for your airport pick(paid by you) and provide you with hotel suggestion and tours while in Panama City.!
