Perfect Family Ski Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect ... well equipped for family dinners and within minutes of Powderhorn (you could practically walk!!). We had everything we could need for a wonderful family vacation, lots or room and every last detail attended to (right down to a pre-built fire). I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the area. Can't wait to return.

The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating and quick to respond. We felt that they truly cared that we enjoyed their home.

I can't say enough good things about our stay.

Thank you so much!!

Owner's Response: Wendy, it was pleasure having your group stay with us, and I am so glad your girls had a blast and got to experience Colorado at its best: a crackling fire in a large log home close to a ski area with a big hot tub under the stars! If you ever make it out again from Florida, please look us up. I do take pride in our home and the many memories families and friends create there last a lifetime!

Owner's Response: Lindsay, I am glad your group had a good time and enjoyed the house. You can't beat the snow conditions we have had this year at Powderhorn. Makes relaxing those tired muscles in the hot tub a necessity! I hope you stay with us again the next time you come to enjoy our mountain.

Stunning views and a cozy cabin feel

The owners are wonderful and hospitable, making our stay virtually effortless. The cabin has stunning views in almost all directions and a well stocked fireplace, not to mention games for the whole family. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to others in the area.

One of the best in Powderhorn

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. It has a more contemporary feel than the cabins we typically stay in. The master bedroom is so comfortable and spacious. There are great views of aspens and the valley below. The kitchen is filled with all the appliances, utensils, cooking tools needed to create a great family meal. Kids loved the game room. We saw a few cabins in the area while we were there and this one was the best by far!

Beautiful home, spacious, fun, well-kept

  • 5 of 5

My friends and family had a wonderful time staying at this Powderhorn cabin. Everyone in our group was impressed with the location, our first time staying there.

We had plenty of room to spread out, stay comfortable, play games, and make dinners. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, not something that we've come to expect from a rental unit.

The deck provided wonderful views, and the hot tub was spacious. Couldn't ask for much more.

A little side note for those also staying at this home - the ski hill is accessible via a short walk, but it's not something I'd recommend doing in ski boots. We took our cars each day, just a few turns into the parking lot.

Also, the kitchen cabinets offer a nice lighting setup in which the lights are attached to the bottom of the cabinets providing ample lighting for the counter tops. However, beware - the lights heat up the cabinets, especially the bottom shelves. We had quite a few chocolate treats meet their demise by placing them in the bottom of the cabinets.

Thanks for a wonderful stay, we hope to visit again next year.
