There will be no fighting over who gets the better bedroom since BOTH second floor bedrooms are master suites with private baths... there is no inferior bedroom! Unit is equipped with tankless water heater for endless hot water and high efficiency central air conditioning; two features that not all places have but you will definitely appreciate during your stay. With only the $99 damage insurance fee there will be no deposit required except in certain circumstances.

Stay in this safe, private and extremely tranquil neighborhood oasis right in the heart of the Sunset Park district of world renowned Santa Monica, California and experience the feel of being an actual Santa Monica resident. This architecturally significant pride of ownership building is absolutely the most luxurious place to do it.

Amenities like a BBQ, private yard, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, cooler, WIFI, Playstation 3, card/board games, filtered water, spices, Keurig coffee maker, parking, washer/dryer, etc. Combine this unit with my second unit right next door as well for larger groups, together they sleep up to 10 people.

Why Paul chose Santa Monica

The Mediterranean climate is absolutely perfect here in Santa Monica. Its not unusually to drive from 100 degree weather in the San Fernando Valley just 10 miles away and have the temperature be 78 degrees in Santa Monica!

As a boy in Detroit, I use to visit Santa Monica every year with my family. We would rent the same small house by the beach every year. It was behind the Bayside hotel. It has since been torn down but if you stay at my property and walk to the beach you will pass right by the Bayside Hotel just before you reach the sand. It wasn't planned that I would later buy a property so close to that site but it sealed the deal when I found out how close it was.

What makes this townhome unique

There really isn't anything quite like my property in Santa Monica. Its is a modern luxury triplex with townhouse style units. Don't let anyone tell you that you don't need air conditioning in Santa Monica or that there will be plenty of hot water for 4 or 5 long back-to-back showers in their rental. I spared no expense in the renovation, installing tankless water heaters, high efficiency heat and air, European appliances and high end finishes. The units have never been lived in full time since the renovation. "No pets" and "no smoking" has always been the rule as well.

The neighborhood has quiet tree-lined streets and is close enough to the action without all the traffic and congestion of being in the heart of the tourist areas. Everything is a refreshing stroll or bike ride away.

Perfect Santa Monica accommodations.

This was my second stay at the Zen Townhouse and I plan to return! If you like to be centrally located (w/ a car), have some room and peace and quiet this is the place for you. Paul is friendly and helpful. The townhouse is spotless, well-appointed, but not a museum--felt right at home.

Paul was the best host you could have at a VRBO. He thinks of all the little details for his guests & was there to help if we needed it during our stay. The unit is immaculate, & centrally located in Santa Monica with a parking space. Had a great visit!

Beautiful Apartment in a peaceful Santa Monica neighborhood!

I recently stayed at Paul's apartment while visiting my daughter, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The apartment is immaculate, bathrooms are beautiful, beds super comfy; we all loved sitting around the table for breakfast each morning and enjoyed the fireplace. Paul was a wonderful host, meeting us on arrival and even helped carry up our luggage! I am super picky when it comes to cleanliness, and this apartment met my expectations, and beyond! Thanks Paul!

Excellent house in Santa Monica!

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Paul's house and was extremely impressed with the house, Santa Monica and Paul. Let me start out by saying that I am a very finicky person when it comes to hotels and travel accommodations. We are more of a Ritz Carlton type of family -- but for a 2 week stay wanted the convenience of a house. Paul's place is perfect. Nicely decorated, lovely extra touches, very clean and cozy. I didn't want to be rambling around a big house -- so this 2 bedroom townhouse was perfect for us. Paul has taken lots of time and energy to decorate his place in a true zen, modern and cozy environment. From the throw blanket on the chair, to the evening fireplace we'd turn on...he has thought of everything. As you can imagine -- LA is an eating mecca and we loved eating out -- but there is nothing like feeling like a true local when you head down to the local farmer's market and pick out fresh strawberries, sourdough bread and salad fixings for a meal in your cozy home. The bedrooms were nice and roomy -- plenty of closet space, thoughtful touches like an extra outlet by your bed to plug in your phone. He has designed the house with lots of airy sky lights that let the sun in -- yet plenty of privacy in the evening. I loved the well stocked bathrooms -- nice to not have to run out to replace TP and tissue. Kitchen was well stocked and I truly appreciated the "strong" button on the Keurig.

Paul was always available for any question I had. He was so helpful. The area is near many lovely restaurants. I ended up returning my rental car after the first week as it is so easy to use Uber and Lyft to get around. We also took the Expo line that goes right into downtown LA. Favorites were the Grand Central Market, Koreatown, Getty Center, Getty Villa, Wizarding World and Paramount Studios. Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula was a treat for my girls -- poor me, had to go twice! We are a family of four with 2 college students with different spring breaks -- I arrived with one daughter, then the next week the other daughter arrived and my husband arrived in the middle of trip. I always felt very safe returning to the house at night -- Paul's outdoor lights are on a timer. You will love your stay here!
