About The Owner

We are retired English professors who have lived in Boulder since the 1960s. Retirement has freed up our time a bit, although we remain active in music and book groups, traveling, and guest lecturing.

The Owner purchased this condo in 1992

Why The Owner chose Park East

This condo was our Boulder home. Now, however, we divide our time between a home in the mountains and a condo in Utah.

What makes this condo unique

While living in this condo, we hop on the bus across the street to go to CU, walk on the numerous bike paths--a different route every day, swim in the pool across the street. We enjoy the proximity to all amenities and the quietness and open space in the condo area.

The best home in Boulder

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't believe how lucky we were to have rented such a great home in the most desirable part of Boulder. We were traveling from Orlando and had so much to do for our brother's wedding in Lafayette close by. Having access to this house was convenient, cozy, and it was stocked with everything we needed including 2 bikes. Kay couldn't have been a better steward of Boulder. Truly memorable. And the great coffee included helped me so much during such a crazy and tiring weekend!! I will ALWAYS look to book this house in the future visits!

Simple, comfortable, a great bargain - just as advertised!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great bargain at the monthly rate (I stayed for all of July) - clean, very quiet (no noise from traffic or neighbors) & conveniently located. The bus to/from CU campus really does stop just a block away. Also, 2 bikes are provided & with Boulder's world class bike path system literally just outside the door, the far west end of campus or the downtown Pearl St mall are less than 15 minutes easy ride away (& maybe 8 minutes coming back, since it's downhill). Although there are 3 bedrooms, it's a fairly small place overall & the bedrooms are definitely on the small side, so this might be a tight squeeze for a large group, but all things considered, I highly recommend!

Will stay here again and again!

  • 5 of 5

EXCELLENT! Property was clean and very warm / inviting. We felt right at home. It was the perfect space for myself, my husband, my two toddlers, and my mom- there was plenty of space for us all. The kids couldn't get enough of the patio (beautiful flowers and great view of the flatirons) and the pool. The neighbors were very friendly and the street was peaceful and quiet. The best part of the condo however was Kay, the owner. Very flexible and generous, willing to help us in anyway and answer any questions we had. We know anytime we return to Boulder this will be the only place we'll stay!

Vermont & Florida enjoying Colorado

  • 5 of 5

The owner gave great details and was very helpful making our visit to Boulder wonderful. The location was quiet and convenient which helped make our stay fantastic! The furnishings and decor are comfortable which made us feel as though we were at home. We enjoyed the comfort of this condo with our grandchildren who were visiting from Florida. Wonderful amenities, great appliances and all the comforts of home. The bedding is fantastic and the layout of the interior was user friendlyt! We would recommend this rental to family and friends.

Family together for CU graduation

  • 5 of 5

This town home in Boulder is in an excellent location. It is away from the crowds and busy streets, yet it is close enough to get to the CU campus, shopping, Pearl Street and the freeway. The owners are very friendly and helpful people. This town home has one large very comfortable bed in one bedroom, a queen-size futon in another bedroom with its own full bathroom, and a single futon in a 3rd room. There is one more full bath for the two separate bedrooms. It sleeps 2 couples and a single person nicely. The town home is very open and airy with views of the Flatirons. The furniture is comfortable. All in all it is a very attractive home and feels like a "home away from home". I also feel it is a great place to stay if you have a child attending CU. We were able to get to the campus very quickly and easily for all the graduation festivities. The town home complex is very quiet, with some adults and some students living there. I think this town home was an incredible find for our family during graduation weekend and my family really enjoyed living there. It would be a great place, however, if you wanted to explore Boulder, Denver and beyond. We had cable TV and good internet service. The owners also had very nice personal touches - a bottle of good red wine and coffee was left for our stay. I would recommend this town home to anyone visiting Boulder, whether its for business, vacation or visiting your CU student.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I needed a short term rental while I relocated to Boulder for my job. We stayed for approximately 1 month. Kay and Doug are wonderful hosts and they have a very well-equiped and comfortable townhome. It is open and bright with great views of the FlatIrons. The townhome is close to everything in Boulder, but it is in its own enclave and it is quiet and beautiful. Since we stayed for a month, we were able to experience snow and spring. We brought our dogs for part of the time and the complex is very pet-friendly. There are trails outside the front door and plenty of bag containers and garbage cans to pick up after your dogs. I rode my bike onto all the Boulder connecting trails right from the front door. This is a single level townhome so it is perfect for everyone. There are no neighbors above you and we never heard any noise. We enjoyed our time in Boulder and we thank Kay and Doug.
