My wife and I arrived in Vero Beach, Florida, and found a wonderful break from winter, which in our native New Mexico can last at least six months. We are attracted by the artistic environment and stress-free life style.
The Bodhi Tree Home is a very personal statement of our aesthetics. We truly believe that the simplicity is the ultimate form of elegance. We would like to share our humble home with you in the hope that it will bring your happiness and enjoyment as it has brought to us.
Had the opportunity to stay at this house on two separate occasions in 2014 spanning 3.5 months. Home was a perfect for my family. Home is located south of Ocean Drive and is very near Round Island Park so its in a quite part of Vero. While the home is West of A1A at that part of the island its still very close to the beach, a couple minute walk. Since it’s a quitter part of the island we usually had the beach to ourselves. The home is very nicely furnished and very private. The owners are very accommodating and are genuinely concerned with the quality of your stay.
What a great vacation we had staying at the Bodhi tree house. It was like our own private vacation home! Almost every day I would take the kids about a mile down the street and watch the manatees frolick in the lagoon. Such a great nature walk at Round Island park. We went to Legoland and Disney World which was only about 2 hours drive. The beach was super private and quiet and so many shells to collect for shell lovers with beach chairs and showers. My kids could not ever get enough of the pool and one of my 5 year old twins learned to swim. This house has everything a vacation home needs! Nothing was overlooked. The town of Vero is very close and easily accessed by car or bikes. We hardly ever ate out as we just bought groceries and relaxed by the pool or went to the beach. Also we fished about a half hour away at the Sebastian inlet pier. Saw fisherman pull in a Tuna, Amberjack and Snook. Only advice if visiting in summer is bring bug spray as the noseeums (sand flies) could carry you away. But our family had one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations we ever had and would definitely stay again in a heartbeat. My husband kept saying I wish we stayed one more week! Maybe longer next time. Thanks to Robert for being a great host!
We were delighted with our rental choice from the moment we walked through the front door. The house is beautiful. I couldn't believe how immaculate everything is. The furnishings are so comfortable and covered in white. I thought that might be a problem with our grandchildren but they were so easy to take care of. The location was incredible. It is only a short walk to the most gorgeous private beach. One day there was one other person on the beach and we joked how crowded it was getting. Our oldest daughter came down to visit us with a newly broken leg and she had no trouble crutching her way to the beach as it's just across the street. We were also thrilled with all the amenities provided. There were beach chairs, boogie board, lots of pool toys, and even great terrycloth shower robes. The kitchen was the best surprise of all. There wasn't one item missing. The amount of kitchen utensils , glassware, pots and pans, choppers, mixers, and anything you could think of. It is a beautiful, spacious space with an incredible amount of storage. There is a very large pantry closet that is empty and waiting for your groceries. The drawers are also empty of the owners belongings which is such a nice surprise. We have rented elsewhere where we had very little storage. There is so much storage everywhere in the lovely home. Rob and Sim Wing were so helpful. We rarely needed to contact them as everything was great. We never used the dining room as we loved sitting outside for meals. The screening over the pool and lanai eliminated all bugs. We fell in love with Vero Beach and the lifestyle there. The neighbors on the street were great, particularly the O'Briens across the way. It's a quiet, perfect setting. I hope our grandchildren didn't upset them as they were rarely out of the pool. We had a fabulous vacation and I would recommend this lovely home to anyone. We hope to return!
My wife and I spent a month at the Bodhi Tree Home and we loved it. The pool and lanai are private and a great place to relax with morning coffee or an afternoon break. The beach is a short walk and is beautiful, and you mostly have it to yourself. The home is on a quiet cul de sac and is beautifully decorated and well maintained. I highly recommend it.
I and my husband were looking for a house in Florida for vacation. When we found Bodhi Tree in Vero Beach at vrbo.com, I was not sure that's the best choice. Sometimes photos show something other than the reality:-)
When we entered the house, we felt happy and confident, that our vacation will be great.
We saw a very clean, beautifully and stylishly decorated interior. It looks even better, than the pictures.
Playing music and a bottle of wine with a letter from the owners were a very nice welcome surprise. We found everything we needed in the spacious kitchen and the rest of the house. During a two week stay, we spent a lot of time on the beach, located a few steps, and in the clean , quite a deep pool, surrounded by greenery. This is the most beautiful part of Vero Beach. We would love to come again and strongly recommend it to all.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this bright and clean home in Vero Beach. We have vacationed on the west coast and this was our first time on the east coast. The house was clean and had all the necessary items to make our stay as comfortable as being at home. The beach was a short walk from the house which was very convenient. We also visited two of the state park beaches which were really nice too! I would have to say that the best part was enjoying the beautiful enclosed pool which is surrounded by tropical plants and very private. Having vacationed on the other coast at the same time of year when a lot of restaurants aren't open we found Vero to have the best selection of restaurants ( mulligans, Ocean Grill, MT's Chop House and our favorite Riverside Cafe) to choose from.
If you are considering vacationing in Vero we highly recommend the Bodhi Tree Home. It's exactly as pictured and the owner was very helpful with answering any questions and welcomed us with a phone call when we arrived. Thank you for sharing your peaceful home in paradise.
Sincerely.....Stan and Tracy Ottman
