Great location, very comfortable condo.

  • 4 of 5

The owners were very good communicators. The location of the cabin and amenities were exactly as advertised. We never used the pool facilities, but it was raining during our entire stay. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious. We especially appreciated the upstairs semi jack and jill bath room, meaning each bedroom had their own sink and a shower/toilet room between the two. It made getting ready super easy. The kitchen is a little rundown, but clean and very usable, although the oven was slow to reach temperature (we found warming it up on broil, then switch over to bake, took far less time) We didn't use the TV much, but they have a decent media offerings, especially having a roku box was a nice feature. The fire place is nice and it has a fan so you can pretty much heat the house with it if you want it super cozy. If you have kids, or adults with kid mentalities, you can play a "count the moose" game, and then through out the weekend the number might keep growing. Parking is right near the front entrance, and there is guest parking very near by. The 7-11 is walking distance. Squaw is a short drive up the road.

cheap, outdated, basic,

  • 3 of 5

The condo itself was spacious enough. But unfortunately hadn't been updated recently. Broken light fixtures, walls all marked up, even the front door key is all bent up. No coffee maker present, though there is a pot and we were able to make a makeshift filter. No soap for shower, so plan on bringing your own. The shower was dirty when we first arrived, soap marks from previous renters. We tried to use the oven, though after 30 mins of preheating it was at only 135. Finally we had to broil our pizza to get it to cook. The parking spot sucks, especially in the winter. We were unable to even pull in as there was snow piled up there and the vehicle next to us was so close we wouldn't have been able to get out of the car. Thankfully we were able to get an open unassigned spot everytime. Beds very hard, not the most confortable. Internet was very slow, often loading several times during an episode to watch netflix or amazon prime. Overall very basic, if you just want a place to lay your head, the will do. If you are looking from something more comfortable or upscale, not your place. I had poor response time/messages from the owner in regards to the oven not working, though we got a small refund for that issue.

Big place close to Squaw and Alpine

  • 4 of 5

We had a good stay at the condo. Our overall impressions are it's a big unit, has good roomy bedrooms, and comfortable beds. It's quiet and has lots of parking. It's also a good location because you don't have to meander into the mountains. It's right there at the base of the road so it's an easy drive, especially if there is snow. There is a washing machine in the unit too, which is very convenient if you are staying more than a few days. The layout of the condo was good because and is separation between bedrooms since there are three floors. Just a few things to note before you stay: no cable tv so if you want to watch live t.v., it's not possible. There is a Roku box which you can watch free movies on that. No coffee maker so if you drink coffee, you need to bring it up yourself. Very little soap/shampoo, so again you need to supply your own. The kitchen has some basics, but I would not classify it as well stocked as most of the other Tahoe condos I have stayed at. The track lights don't work in the living room so it was a bit dark at night. The owner should probably fix those lights.

Overall a nice stay and we would stay there again (assuming the lights are fixed!)

Minutes from Squaw Village at half the price.

  • 5 of 5

Great location! Plenty of space as advertised. Furnishings are of the legacy ski condo variety. Fireplace makes up for that. Kitchen is rudimentary, but gets job done. Ample parking. Didn't get to hot tub, bit of a hike. Prompt deposit refund. Would rent again. Don't forget to pick up your SVFD T-shirts at the fire station next door.
