This unique luxury property is located in Old Town Ft. Collins. It has been described by some of our guests as a private boutique hotel steps from the center of Old Town! Five stars out of a possible five, guests have loved the quiet and private environment. The only antique trolley west of the Mississippi River travels from City Park to downtown passing some of the most notable homes in the community on this prestigious historic street. You'll arrive at your own wrought-iron gated brick courtyard from Mountain Avenue into a renovated, light-filled spacious brick foyer. These spaces were once home to the county and served as offices. In the adaptive re-use of the building, the architect and contractor owners have paid homage to the original character by retaining the colorful leaded glass windows and expanse of carved wood panels in the entry. The maple wood floors in the main living spaces reflect the light from the floor to ceiling windows for an open/expansive loft-like feel.
This is truly a unique property, melding contemporary and regional design touches throughout. From the crisp white sheets to the fluffy towels, down comforters to snuggle into on the Colorado evenings, special interiors and lighting details, you will enjoy experiencing these spaces. The owners have hung art by local artists and added an eclectic mix of antiques and mid century modern professionally designed features. This property is in a truly excellent location, you can leave your car parked and enjoy the 2 block walk to the heart of Old Town Ft. Collins shops, restaurants, and museums as well as the easy access to Colorado State University. Our 'official walk score' is 85 out of 100, which means coffee shops are within .10 miles,restaurants .14, Civic Center Park .21 and the Old Town open air seasonal market on Saturdays. Our location is rated as a Bikers Paradise with a score of 100 due to the flat terrain and wonderful access to bike paths and lanes!!

The owners are a husband and wife architect/interior designer/contractor team who have been involved in the adaptive re-use and re-development of many housing projects in the Old Town area for themselves as well as for their clients. They so enjoyed staying at a VRBO a few years ago, upon their return they decided to feature one of their own in a very special property they renovated. They have been residents of Fort Collins for over 30 years and formerly faculty at Colorado State University.

Why Susan chose Old Town West
While hosting professors from abroad, it became apparent that there were not abundant choices for them to stay within close proximity to campus and in the spectacular Old Town area. This is truly a vacation setting/location! Highest Walkable rating applies to this perfectly located Old Town property. We have had guests return multiple times and we love to provide that special environment that they enjoy.
What makes this Townhome unique
There is WiFi for our guest's convenience, a small DVD and CD library, cable TV is also offered. The property feels like a boutique hotel but with all the privacy of a home. The location is so convenient, one does not need a car, in fact, the best way to experience the area is to stroll through the tree-lined local streets and take in the unique character of Old Town Fort Collins' shops, 84 restaurants, open air markets and activities. Open up the french doors to the entry courtyard below to hear the church bells chime in this historic, charming neighborhood just two blocks from the Old Town's downtown center. Comfy & Convenient
A quiet apartment close to Old Town FTCS, the Lincoln Theater, MAX bus stops, and the new trolley. Plenty of off-street parking. The front gated courtyard is a nice touch and we loved the fresh air and singing birds through the open windows. Enjoyed chatting with Susan (the owner) about the conversion of this former city bldg into 3 apts. A bonus for me is the vintage Thermidor range. If you enjoy architectural detail that features a mix of vintage and new, this is the pied-a-terre for you. Will return here for sure.
Best place to stay in Fort Collins!
I enjoyed everything about this property! The location was excellent and the accommodations were perfect. My family loved coming to visit us here and walking to Old Town. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. Susan was quick to respond with any questions we had and she even has a great list of restaurants to check out also.
A great location for a fun Homecoming weekend at CSU
A great place for us to stay and visit with our son during CSU homecoming weekend. Great communication with our hosts. The location was great, the place was just a described and pictured. Will absolutely recommend and look to stay in our future visits. Only downside is that we have to leave and return to rainy Chicago from beautiful FoCo.
It was a great place to stay. Convenient to everything we wanted to do in old town.
Susan called beforehand to make sure her rental unit would work for us since we had booked past the point of cancelling. That was very kind of her. It's located in a safe and quiet nieighboorhood. A VRBO with a full kitchen is hard to find as well as one with a washer/dryer. She has taken care of small details such as two extra set of keys. The unit has It's two large bedrooms with comfortable linen and pillows. Private parking was a plus. I have stayed in 2 other VRBO's in Ft. Collins and this was my favorite one. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to walk to old town.
Charming and and a great location
This condo is beautifully and completely furnished. The entrance is very private and quiet because it is on a hardly used alley street. I sat outside and read every night. The owners were available when I needed directions and very pleasantly responded to my requests. Walking into town, to the farmers market, and the bus line was just a few blocks. I found it very safe, especially at night, with well lighted streets. I was here for a month, used a bike and the bus line for transport- and found it all to be very easy to get around.

This neighborhood is within 2 blocks of Historic Old Town's Downtown where there are charming restaurants, theaters, unique shopping, museums, galleries and more. This is a five minute walk or less to all of the above, if you want to leave your car behind and experience this delightful walkable community, you want to be located in Old Town!! The owners have put together an 'Insiders Guide' including all the best of the above establishments for their guests to reference during their stay. Our guests have very positive comments regarding the environment as well as the great close-by dining and entertainment options.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve the property with the remaining balance due 30 days before guest arrival We recommend private trip/vacation cancellation insurance be purchased by the guest due to our cancellation policy. The total amount for the booking is due and payable 30 days before check-in and is not refundable after that time.
