'los Congos' named after the frequently visiting howler monkeys.
This cosy home (95 sq. meters with the deck) is built entirely of wood in a green jungle setting on a 400 sq. meters parcel of land.
At the back of the house is an open deck, overlooking a tropical garden.
The house is well ventilated with a big open living area and the temperatures range between 22 and 33 degrees celsius at all times.
We have summer all year round and you can admire many plants and flowers as well as beautiful trees.
Hummingbirds as well as a variety of other birds such as parrots and tucans can be seen from the deck.
We live in the house next door (on the same property) and are available for questions and recommendations about the numerous activities in the area.
We own 2 dogs and never had problems with breakins.
The laundry will be shared with the owners.

We shall be present in another house, in the same property and we can recommend the travelers for the activities of neighborhood.
The beaches, restaurants and the nearest shops are located about 0,6 miles (20 min. walk, 10 min. bike ride, 5 min. by car).
Puerto Viejo is located 3 miles away.
There are many places to visit in the area:
Refuge Gandoca / Manzanillo, Cahuita National Park, Bribri indigenous reserves, water falls, Jaguar rescue center, sloth sanctuary, etc ... and of course beautiful beaches:
Punta Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva.
A long wide beach with strong moderate waves, recele in the North, in front of the point of Pirriplí, a beautiful rock island with the same name. The place is ideal for sunbathers, surfers, walks on foot or pony treks.
Punta Cocles has a small coral reef bursting with natural pools.
A 10 minutes drive away, in a Jamaican atmosphere, Puerto Viejo awaits you with thriving night life, bars and restaurants that offer a choice of local as well as international dishes.
It's best to rent a car for a short stay, but for a longer stay, this is not necessary and we can lend you bikes.
