Pointe Beach Villas is a relatively new building located on the northern premises of Lake Okanagan Resort(LOR) in West Kelowna. The Villas are well positioned on a “point”, in the quieter, northern part of the property. Occupants are therefore provided with an unobstructed view of the lake.
Our Pointe Beach Villa unit is a large (1,600 s.f.), comfortable, 3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom condo. It has a well-designed open floor plan that optimizes the view of the lake. It can be seen from the kitchen, dining and living area and the master bedroom. The two secondary bedrooms overlook the resort’s executive 9-hole golf course.
The main advantage of Pointe Beach is that renters have access to all the amenities offered by LOR.
How about a tennis game or par 3 executive golf, only a short walk from your villa? Or a swim in the pool, a soak in the hot tub, relaxing on the beach or jet skiing on the lake?
Do you have children? They will love the water trampolines and slides, playing beach volley ball, tennis, basketball or swimming in either the children’s pool or larger family pool.
How about spending a day on the water, boating up or down the lake, or even water skiing with your children? You can rent boats at the LOR marina, as well as sign up for water skiing lessons.
Pointe Beach Villas are a great get-away for those who simply wish to relax or for those with an active lifestyle.
Our unit has been professionally furnished by an interior designer to LOR standards. The layout of the bedrooms allows the evenings to be quiet and secluded. The large master bedroom with ensuite contains a king size bed. It is located at the front of the unit overlooking the patio and lake. The two other bedrooms are separated from the living area at the back of the condo. One of these bedrooms has a king size bed with its own bathroom including shower and bath. The third bedroom has two single beds with access to the main bathroom across the hall. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV and a DVD player and each bathroom is equipped with towels, had soap and body/hair wash. The kitchen is well appointed with lots of light, cupboards, granite countertops, a huge island with seating for three and a full complement of quality cookware. The dining area is designed for six people, however, can seat eight. The living room, with soda, love seat and reading chair overlooks the lake. It also contains a gas fireplace with a large flat screen TV above including DVD and CD players.
Note that we book guests on a weekly basis only from Saturday check-in to Saturday check-out.

About Bruce Clark
Bruce and Helena Clark were born, raised and educated in Quebec (La Belle Province). We “immigrated” west for job opportunities, eventually settling in Edmonton, Alberta. Some twenty years ago, we finally travelled further west into British Columbia and discovered the Okanagan Region. We fell in love with it, in part, because it reminded us of the Eastern Township Region of Quebec (Les Cantons de l’Est) where Helena was raised and where we were married.
Bruce Clark purchased this Condo in 2011
Why Bruce Clark chose Central Okanagan
Our personal preference is the Kelowna area because it offers all the benefits of a lakeside tourist city with the ability to isolate yourself from the “hustle and bustle” if that is your wish. We spent our first summer vacation in Kelowna in a hotel right across the street from Gyro Beach. That summer we found Lake Okanagan Resort – perfect for all the desires of a young family – something for everyone, including swimming in the lake or pool, beach sunbathing, boating, tennis, golf and more. We rented accommodation for a number of years, until we finally decided to make a real commitment to Kelowna and LOR and purchase a timeshare. In 2010, we noticed that the units in a new building at LOR, Pointe Beach Villas, were being released for full ownership. We decided to “take the plunge” and purchase a three bedroom unit. We have not regretted our decision.
What makes this Condo unique
We encourage you to share our “home away from home” when we are not using it – for one week or longer. Each of the four seasons offers a different experience at Point Beach Villas at Lake Okanagan Resort.

Relaxing & satisfied!
The Condo is beautiful & we were lucky as the smoke on the first day got washed away by rain! So the view was clear & lovely. The condo is clean & fulfilled all our expectations! The okanagen Lake Resort is lovely. The renovations are moving along nicely. It is a large property with a lot to offer so maintenance has to be a huge effort. We enjoyed several of the full golf courses in Kelowna area & several of the vineyards. We really appreciated the cleanliness of every city we visited from Penticton to Vernon to all around Kelowna & the Wedtbank.
No hestitation in recommending this property especially when Westside Drive construction is complete. That was a bit frustrating but we adjusted.
Geraldine, many thanks for your positive review. We are pleased you enjoyed our condo, the amenities of Lake Okanagan Resort and all that is available in the Okanagan Region. Having done some worldwide travel, we think it rates well as a world class destination. And yes, we are also looking forward to the completion of the reconstruction of Westside Road, south of Lake Okanagan Resort. Access will definitely be improved.
only possible negative was the steep hill to the beach.
We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed your week at Pointe Beach Villas, Lake Okanagan Resort.
We hope that the access from PBV to the beach was not a surprise. As indicated in our VRBO listing, LOR is located on a slope extending from Westside Road down to the waterfront. Our condo is located on a 'pointe' overlooking the lake. It has a world class view. However, the LOR beachfront is accessed by either the road or the trail down to Pointe Beach. The positive result is you obtain some cardio exercise while walking!
Our guests should also know that LOR has a shuttle which you can order from the front desk. It is an effective service which operates each day to 8:00 pm.

Excellent vacation property.
Loved this property, it is beautiful. We loved everything about it. Very spacious, the views are stunning. The furnishings are very luxurious but very comfortable. The whole condo is very well supplied, Just pack your clothes and food. We drove into Kelowna or Vernon most days to sample the wines. The road is winding but very scenic. We walked a few of the trails on the property which were just awesome. We didn't use any of the facilities at the resort. So we can't comment on them. We don't golf (I know, sorry) and some of the resort (restaurants/spa etc) had shut for the season. If you are thinking about renting this property, don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed. Bruce and Helena were very easy to deal with, prompt and helpful. We stayed here with our elderly parents. They loved it, and like us, didn't want to leave.
Our perfect first VRBO experience
The condo is exceptional, with all sorts of small touches to make it feel like home. The views from the huge windows in the living room area and the covered deck are wonderful and make for a great way to start your day. Bruce and Helena went out of their way to help us through the VRBO process and the information they provided before our arrival and within the unit itself were very helpful.
Our visit was from September 10 to 19th 2016 and it was a great time to visit. The resort is quite slow at that time, so there was no problem just walking onto the challenging par 3 golf course on the resort, so it was perfect for my wife who doesn't golf much.
We made several trips into Kelowna to enjoy the shopping, restaurants and local wineries. Unfortunately we also had to take advantage of the BC health system, which was excellent. We visited a walk in clinic in Westbank and the Kelowna General Hospital. The services were topnotch and everyone we met was helpful and efficient. Having a beautiful, comfortable place to come back to really helped.
We would definitely come back. Thanks again to Bruce and Helena for making our first VRBO experience a pleasant one.
Great Lakeside Vacation for a Family
Impressive, very well appointed and equipped accommodation, better than depicted. Fantastic wide views of the lake and night sky. Our family enjoyed spending their day at the resort, playing tennis and golf in the morning, swimming in the pool or lake in the afternoon. We,the seniors, appreciated the poolside patio restaurant/bar and the Tiki bar right on the beach. The grandchild and his parents enjoyed having their own space and bathrooms in this lovely 3 bedroom condo. The Okanagan Marina at the Resort beach is a great operation , providing dockage, SUPs, water bikes, kayaks, seadoos, and powerboats for reasonable rent. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
Hints. The hill down to the beach is a steep walk but one can drive down to drop off or pick up (no parking down at beach) and the resort does offer a service on call. There are some umbrellas available at the pool and the beach but these are few and not always available at peak times...so bring your own with a tie-down strap.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your week at our Pointe Beach Villas condo and the use of the amenities at Lake Okanagan Resort. The combination makes for arguably the best family vacation in the Okanagan. And the enjoyment spans all ages, as you explained - something for everyone.
And thanks for the note about how to best navigate the steep hill to the beach. You explained well the options for non hill climbers! The on-site taxi service provided by LOR in the high season is necessary given the resort is built on the slope descending to the lake.
We also plan to suggest to resort administration to ensure sufficient beach chairs and umbrellas are available for guests.

A wonderful vacation in a beautiful condo
We stayed in Bruce's condo from July 16 to July 23 to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Our family joined us, and everyone loved the place. There was lots of room for everyone (5 adults and a 4 year old), so privacy was not an issue at all. The weather cooperated, so we were able to have most of our meals sitting on the balcony and overlooking the lake. The scenery was breathtaking. The property was well maintained, and all staff members were friendly and helpful. We used the gym a few times and also took advantage of the walking trails. We also visited a few wineries (about a 30 minute drive) and some local restaurants. There were numerous fruit stands with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. We went to Paynter's fruit stand (30 minute drive) where we were able to pick our own fresh peaches and apricots right off the trees. We also visited the Kangaroo farm just north of the airport (45 minute drive from the condo). I would recommend this as well especially if you have kids. You get to pet all the animals and hold the baby Joeys. The road into the property is called West Side road. It is a bit of a challenge due to construction, but if you follow the speed limits, you'll have no problem. It takes 18 minutes to drive it from the time you exit the highway until you pull into the property. We were advised initially that this road would be closed for 4 hours each week day due to blasting, but the company suspended this for the summer months until September 5th, so it is open all day.
There is a German restaurant in Peachland called Gasthaus that we went to twice for lunch. We sat on the patio with a view of the lake. The food was excellent quality with large portions and reasonable prices.
Bruce was excellent to deal with from start to finish. The condo is spectacular and well equipped with everything you need. It was very quiet and easy access to the parking lot. I would recommend this property to anyone, and I hope to return again.
Thanks again Bruce for trusting us to rent your property.
