Spacious home with some quirky details.
This is the first time renting this particular house on the Cape. We usually stay on Long Pond but figured we would try something new. Central air was great, basement games were fun for the kids, and there were tvs scattered throughout the house. There was a lot of space throughout the house and the kitchen/dining area was great for our large group. There was one weird room issue. There is one bedroom at the back of the house with its own exit (servant's quarters?). In order to access that bedroom from in the house, you have to walk through another bedroom. It was somewhat awkward to ask my dad to go outside in the morning to get to the kitchen for tea if he was up earlier than the others. The only major downside would be the "swimming" pond which I would not consider swimmable. When we first went to see it, there was green moss and little bugs hovering on the water surface within 20 feet of the water's edge . Some might not be bothered but it was not up to my standards. Looked like a good pond for a boat/kayak/fishing but not swimming. Overall, still very happy with the rental.
