About Adam

Our Cabin Is the perfect get-away in the mountains. We love the rustic feel of a log cabin but also appreciate the clean/new feel to our home. We enjoy ... Downhill and XC Skiing, trail running, hiking, and mountain biking, golfing and assuring a good-night’s sleep.

Adam purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Adam chose West Virginia

We have been vacationing at Blackwater Falls Park for many years now. When the opportunity came to purchase in Canaan we knew it was the perfect location and provided the pristine accommodations that we were looking for.

What makes this cabin unique

We've recently upgraded the hot tub and added a grill to the large deck. there is a King Bed in the master bedroom and a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen. We share your demand of high standards in the accommodations you choose. Cleanliness is essential for us. We demand that your stay is uncompromisingly positive and memorable.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had difficulty over the winter months with the outdoor hot tub however it is working better than ever now and will be available on your next visit!

Thanks,

Adam, owner

Nice atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

Very nice quiet atmosphere without being too far away from supplies or activities. Was great for a group of college friends getting together. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

Great place in a great area.

  • 5 of 5

The area around Davis is just wonderful and can't be beat for a fresh, cool, relaxing summer stay. The trails around Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls, and Little Caanan are gorgeous - something perfect for all ages and abilities. The cabin is very well kept, clean, comfortable, and extremely well-located. Easy access to Davis and Thomas and right by great trails, waterways, and restaurants. I highly recommend Blackwater Outdoor Adventures for all of your water fun, the Purple Fiddle for a relaxing scene and great music, and the beer at Stumptown Ales can't be beat.

This cabin is a great place at an awesome price in a fabulous location. DO NOTE: The cabin is not only right next to other cabins, but also right by the road, so don't expect seclusion. That did not at all interrupt our enjoyment of the hot tub, the grill, or the trip. The owner was awesome throughout.

Property was as advertised. Beautiful cabin.

  • 4 of 5

No complaints at all about the cabin. Very clean. Loved it. No television available. Adam said there was a tree blocking the signal, but I beleive it is an ongoing issue. Grocery shopping close by, which is good because resturants are a little sketchy. Closing at odd times and running out of staple items. It was 10:00 AM on a Wednesday and one cafe doesn't open until 5:00 PM, Once we were seated at another place we were told it would be at least an hour for our food, and the last place told us they were closed, even though there were customerd eating, because "she" had a doctors appointment. They are definitely on their own time there in the valley. The senery was spectaculer. We rode our motorcycle through the mountains the whole week. Awesome!

Great Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time this year we have stayed here for a week and this place ALWAYS exceeds my expectations! LOVE this cabin and Adam is wonderful to work with! The first time we came for the snow, this time around we experienced the area for the first time with warm weather and it was nothing but enjoyable! The back deck was so enjoyable! I thought not having air conditioning would be a problem, but all we had to do was open some windows and it was not a problem at all! Beautiful cabin (again!)

A very comfortable cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

Very convenient, clean, nice decorations. Fireplace, jacuzzi, a luxury out in the woods! It is close to two national parks. Plenty of hiking trails, Purple Fiddle Concerts, great restaurants in area. Horseback riding, canoeing, train rides. Waterfalls. The area is like a heavenly haven of beauty. The cabin was wonderful with all the pine walls and ceilings inside. Only wish barbecue worked. Tx you Adam!!
