The Historic Powhatan Resort, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 4 maximum
Very nice grounds. A little long checking in (they had our name wrong) & didn't feel like being pressured into a 2+ hour talk during our stay (which we didn't do). It was late & we were very tired from traveling - just wanted to get to our unit & relax. Finding the unit was a bit of a challenge in the dark. Our building # was not lit up although some of them were. The unit was extremely comfortable, roomy & clean. Near the end of our stay we were pressured again to buy another "vacation". That was the only downside. Glad they weren't TOO pushy about it but there was really no time to decide since they wanted an answer right away. We did NOT appreciate being blind-sided by the $15 + tax per night resort fee that was NOT disclosed before we paid. We were informed during a confirmation email. We thought we had paid in full but it added another $50+ to our stay. It was still better than the hotel we stayed in the last time we were there. This unit was about the size of an apartment & even had a washer & dryer along with a full size stove & refridgerator along with a dishwasher & the usual microwave & coffee maker. The 2 full baths were great & as a hairstylist I appreciated a full size hair dryer as opposed to those little standard dryers you get in a hotel. All in all we were happy with our stay. It was easy to find & there were lots of restaurants nearby along with lots of other stores. The ride to Colonial Williamsburg was short & sweet.

Fairly priced accommodations and nearby
The condo was ready when we arrived and the check in staff were very friendly and helpful. The “welcome package” (step 2 of check in process) was really a sales pitch to buy a time share which I could have done without after a 6 hour drive!
The place was very clean. Dated furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and temp controls worked well. We felt safe there since we were two women traveling alone.
The grounds looked lovely but it was December! Our place was close to everything we were interested in seeing in Colonial Williamsburg including the fantastic outlets.
For the money, the Powhatan Village was just fine!!!
nice place but annoying sales people
I thought the overall condo was ok. The furniture was a bit old and worn, but nothing terrible. However, the sales people would not leave me alone during my stay despite repeated requests that they do and they have continued to call me even though I originally stated that I didn't want any further communication from the resort company. I won't be staying again.
Nice unit, noisy neighbors, annoying sales calls
I came here for a two week intensive training course. I wanted access to a kitchen so I can eat healthily. That was my main reason for choosing this location. However, I won't likely return because there were very high pressure sales calls almost everyday, and I could hear everything the neighbors did. They weren't loud, just moving around in normal activity. The unit was decent though there are signs of needing upgrade. My couch was sagging on one side and the carpet was very stained.
Comfortable vand priced right
The time share arm twisting was over the top, however the place was nice and relaxing
Just one night, but very comfortable accommodations.
Enjoyed the property and the ammeneties offered. Will keep the resort in mind for future reference.
