Why Juliana Kim chose Manhattan
The fact that this 2 bedroom apartment is right across from the medical center makes it ideal for those who are visiting loved ones in the hospital. It is located on the ground floor of the building, so there are just a couple of steps coming into the building to deal with. The whole apartment has been completely remodeled, has a new open kitchen with exquisite new appliances, a cafe table and chairs for dining, and an amazing bathroom with a walk-in shower. The open plan living area has a contemporary sofa that folds down to become a bed to sleep 1. In all, this is a very clean and contemporary apartment which will make a fantastic home away from home for anyone visiting this area in Washington Heights. We rented this place as my husband needed to go for surgery. It is very good location close to the hospital that made it easy for me to walk to the hospital. Grocery store, Starbucks and restaurants are close by as well.
I was disappointed that they don't provide hand towels and apparently literally they don't cause I had to ask and the made sure they gave me one and told me they don't provide handtowels. For a 30 day stay, they do not clean the place and expect the occupant to live there without the place being cleaned. The carpet in the apartment is dirty and I realised it when I noticed my son's socks are black in color with dirt from running around in the living room. They did provide a heater when we requested as the apartment tends to get cold and it's a centralised building controlled thermostat. I had difficulty understanding or making our conversation with the super and sometimes he does sound rude. I remember one incident asking him help to connect Netflix on their tv and he turned around and said we used a lot of internet and I thought that was wrong when i was using the hospital free WIFI all the time for my mobile and I corrected him and he just ignored. Oh well! I am not sure if he understood what I was trying to tell him. The shower was great but it would be nice to have some shelves mounted in the bathroom to put things. Overall we thought the place met our needs to be close to the hospital.
