About Dana Bollin

I have traveled to many beautiful places in the world, but the allure of the wetlands and islands of western Lake Erie keep me grounded in NW Ohio. As a naturalist and birdwatcher, there is no better place to be during songbird migration, and the proximity to Toledo allows for visits to our world-class zoo, museums and shopping, all which make for a great place to visit!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your place was exactly what we were looking for and more. From the ample parking and outdoor seating to the well-appointed kitchen; plenty of linens, beds and small appliances - we couldn't have asked for anything more. it was perfect for a large family gathering to celebrate new members joining our nature-loving bunch.

Thanks for sharing your adorable, private home and extensive knowledge and love of God's winged creatures! I hope to come again and again! The proximity to the lake and all the NW Ohio attractions was ideal.

Continued Blessings,

Very nice home

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed for a weekend so we weren't able to take advantage of the nice yard or fire pit. Dana greeted us at the home and let us know about the area as well as the islands, which was a huge help.

Quiet and comfortable

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very well stocked and very breezy place the only thing was my family having a problem with no internet and phone service but that was not a big problem. We really enjoyed it was a wonderful place to stay and will be back in 2 years for next reunion and plan to stay again. Thanks again Dana as I said we really enjoyed it there, and you were great as we couldn't have stayed anywhere else for the cost. Thanks Again

Best stocked rental I've ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

This house is perfect. We come into town to visit with family and some of them stayed with us. Three good sized bedrooms and a large open area in the living room made sure it didn't seem crowded. The huge deck out back was great. We cooked out and at one point had 24 people out there eating and playing in the big yard. It almost turned into a family reunion and we had plenty of space. The house itself has everything you need. And I mean everything, at one point we needed an extension cord and at another point we needed scotch tape and I'll be darned but we found it. The kitchen has everything you'll ever need. The owner, Dana, is great. Very nice and easy to work with. So close to the water that we walked to the beach several times. Jack's Superette is close by and has more stock in that small store than many major stores. The cell reception was very spotty (3 carriers represented) so a house phone would have made me feel better in case of emergency. But otherwise it was a perfect weekend and we are booked again for another stay next month. It's going to be our home away from home once a month in the summer from now on.

Awesome-We will be back! Half way meeting point, Pittsburgh & Grand Rapids

  • 5 of 5

Thanks! We celebrated Christmas with our Daughter from Grand Rapids Michigan, our son-in-law and our First (of hopefully many) grandchild Victor. The home was very nice and super clean with all the amentities one would need plus more. The beds were better than we have at home and the setting was quiet and perfect for us to just hang at Roberta together for the weekend. Next time we hope to explore the area and make use of the local attractions. Everything was GREAT!
