About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Cozy one bedroom, one bath condo with a private balcony and full kitchen, located in the center village of Copper Mountain. This is one of the larger one bedroom units at Passage Point with 643 sq ft of living space and a view of the ski slopes. It’s less than a 3 minute walk on the heated village walkways to the main ski lifts (American Eagle and American Flyer). Included with rental is access to the ski lockers, heated underground parking, 3 hot tubs, and fitness facility (cardio and weight machines). The fitness facility has had a complete renovation over the summer and includes all new free weights and machines.

Have a relaxing night sleep on the comfortable king bed in the bedroom and the queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace and watch a movie from our 50+ DVD collection on flat panel TV's.

Located within the building is a steakhouse restaurant, coffee shop, and a bank. Directly in front of the building, there is a stop for a free shuttle bus to Frisco and other areas of Copper. Frisco is a larger town only 6 minutes away (by car) from Copper Mountain, and has a large grocery store, Walmart, several sporting goods stores, and restaurants. Combined with the restaurants and shops in Copper, there will be no shortage of supplies or entertainment.

Copper Mountain is about 75 minutes from Denver directly off I-70, and it’s nestled between Vail and Breckenridge, making it an ideal vacation location. Vail is about 25 minutes west on I-70, and Breckenridge is only 20 minutes away.

Copper is a great Ski/Snowboard destination. With over 20 lifts and 2433 acres, the mountain artfully blends terrain for all ski/snowboard skill levels by naturally separating advanced runs from the beginner slopes. Rather than mixing the beginner skiers' area with the more advanced terrain, Copper has made SAFETY PRIORITY ONE with an entire mountain area dedicated for the family and the beginner skier/rider. It is ranked as one of the top ski schools in the country.

About Jim Folaron

We're a military family and have traveled all over the world. I was born in Colorado, and my wife went to college in Colorado Springs. We've always loved skiing and the mountain atmosphere. It has been our dream to be able to own a condo in a Colorado ski village.

Jim Folaron purchased this condo in 2011

Why Jim Folaron chose Northwest

We love to ski. Copper Mountain is a great mountain for skiing and boarding and it's centrally located between Vail and Breckenridge, making it an ideal location for visiting multiple resorts. Additionally, Copper is located directly off I70 and about 25 minutes closer to Denver than Vail. This was a huge bonus for us, especially since Vail Pass frequently closes due to bad weather.

What makes this condo unique

The number one benefit of Passage Point is the location. It is a very short walk to the slopes, and the heated walkways of the village make it simple and safe to get to the lifts. Another unique benefit of Passage Point are the three hot tubs exclusively for guests of our building.

We stayed here for a the weekend of Guitar Town. The condo is lovely - nicely decorated, with everything you'd need to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Spacious Condo with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

When we decided to use VRBO, we couldn't have known that we made the best decision of our trip. We were there as part of a wedding, so we were able to see many different condos. Ours was by far the best! It was spacious, well maintained and quiet. This was our first time in CO. A few days before the trip we received a text from the property owner wishing us safe travels, upon arrival we were greeted with a nice personal note and a few treats. Copper Mountain is beautiful on its own, but Jim and Irene have thought out the little things to make your stay great. They have a humidifier in the room, there is a regular coffee pot and Keurig and a DVD library for the TV. Thank you for being a part of our journey to Colorado. We had a great time!

Wonderful week at great condo

  • 5 of 5

Condo is nicely decorated and well stocked. It is in the center of the resort and very close to shuttle around the resort as well as bus that takes you to Frisco where grocery store and great restaraunts are if you chose to dine outside of Copper. Would stay again when visiting the resort.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I just returned from our first visit to Copper Mountain. This condo was exactly what we'd hoped for. Passage Point is a beautiful building only a couple minutes walk from the American Eagle and American Flyer lifts. The unit is spacious for a one bedroom; we particularly enjoyed the king bed, comfy couch, fireplace, and the view from the large living room windows. The owners provided everything: toilet paper, dish soap, dish towels, paper towels, etc. They even left a chocolatey gift that I immediately claimed. Oh, and the hot tubs are fantastic! I can't think of a thing I'd change. We'll definitely be staying here again when we return to Copper.

Lovely 2-night stay at Passage Point

  • 4 of 5

The condo was as described and pictured on the web site. It is clean and spacious, with great amenities. We only ate breakfast at the condo, so didn't do any cooking. It was an easy walk to the base of the ski area, and all services are within walking distance. Parking garage was wonderful. We did have a bit of trouble finding the property, relying on the "Maps" app of our cell phone, which sent us beyond where we needed to go. The big "Passage Point" sign in front of the building was obscured by a tall pile of snow. I would recommend this property or stay there again. We were there during the extended ski season weekend so some shops had already closed for the season, and one of the restaurants was out of a lot of the menu items.
