The beach is so close you won't believe it. It's literally one-half city block from the boardwalk and beach to this cottage. The 24th street stage is an open concert and event area that borders the boardwalk and beach - you can enjoy the music with a short walk or simply stay home and listen to the music from your deck.
This condo sleeps 6. It is a no-smoking, no pets rental. Bedroom #1 has one queen size bed. Bedrooom #2 has two twin beds. Living area has a queen size sleep sofa. The apartment is equipped with cable service, HD-TV, DVD, and secure WIFI.
All appliances new in 2015 include stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, washer/dryer. French doors in kitchen open to private deck with lawn furniture.
Owner provides freshly cleaned bed linens and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests need to bring their own towels and beach gear. Start-up includes paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and soap products. If they run out, guests need to provide their own for the rest of their stay. There is one parking space for the reserved guest. In the summer, a second parking space is provided at a parking garage one block away. Visitors of registered guests must park elsewhere. Spaces can be found at local private parking lots or one of the city's parking lots at Virginia Beach oceanfront. The closest overnight parking lot is city-owned and is only one block away (25th Street and Pacific Ave).
Renovated 2015 - This home is the former residence of John Woodhouse Sparrow a decorated hero of the Coast Guard. This Coast Guard location has historical significance, described and preserved in the Coast Guard Museum across the street. A portion of the original outside wall of Mr Sparrow's home is preserved in the front bedroom.
