Thank you and we had a Fabulous stay.
Friendly atmosphere, comfortable room ,very well organised and clean.
Thank you Linija,
It was lovely to see you again and to meet your friends. Come again soon!
Though Avers is certainly off the beaten path, the drive was gorgeous and the home cozy, clean and comfortable. Best nights sleep I have had on my vacation thus far. We arrived a bit late and with only light provisions for our party of 9, Alistair quickly offered and made a hot pot of soup for a minimal additional fee. That hit the spot! Bruno's trains were a real treat for children and adults alike, and we greatly appreciated Alistair sharing his private chapel with us. We were sad to have only one nights stay as Alistair and Bruno served up a delicious, large breakfast and made us feel so welcome. Perhaps someday we will be able to return for a more lengthy retreat, as it certainly felt like one, even if just for one night.

On y retournerait!
Gite propre et calme et hôtes méticuleux.
Bons repas avec recettes locales.
Modélisme férroviaire autour de la maison impressionant.
Photo sur site trompeuse car pas si isolé que ça.
On a fait de belles balades à proximité.
People come to Avers for skiing, snowboarding and hiking in winter and hiking/walking in the summer as well as simple relaxation! The valley is renowned for the 5,000 Alpine marmots who live here as well as deer, chamois, steinbock and other fauna. A huge variety of rare wild flowers will delight the botanically minded.
Please be aware that between the 23rd of Dec. and the 6th of January 2017 we will only let the guest apartment for a minimum period of one week, from Saturday to Saturday.
We can provide dinner for CHF15 per person and breakfast for CHF8 per person but we do normally need to know one week in advance if you would like any meals.
We are two hours from St Moritz and about the same from Lugano and an hour and a half from Chiavenna. The route over the Splügen Pass to Val Chiavenna in Italy is delightful in summer.
The spa at Andeer is open all year round and is 30 minutes away by car, a bit longer by bus.
A bank is open a few mornings each week in Cresta Avers but there is no ATM in the valley and it is wise to bring a supply of Swiss cash.
