private entrance to beautifully updated and maintained two bed, one bath on quiet tree lined street close ( five minute walk) to iconic Kitsilano beach. apartment is one hundred meters from ocean and two small parks. five minute walk to fourth avenue boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. bus stop around corner to downtown vancouver and UBC. apartment has in- house laundry and a security system. comfortably sleeps four.

About sid segal

i was an avid cyclist until my recent (4th) cycling accident in December but hope to be back on my bike soon. my wife Alix and i spend a lot of time with our 3 daughters, their families and our grandchildren. when not cycling or spending time with my family i play a lot of duplicate bridge.

in a prior incarnation i was a senior university administrator. i went to college at the university of north Dakota and attended Simon Fraser university for my post graduate degree. i was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Perfect stay in Vancouver

Our stay with Sid and Alix was wonderful. They were so helpful with restaurant suggestions and with activities to do. Our accommodations were perfect .. Down to the bottle of wine and delicious pastries for breakfast. We were so close to so much that we walked a lot instead of driving. They are wonderful hosts and hostesses and you will thoroughly enjoy them and your stay.

Nice place with great hosts

Our stay was comfortable and clean. Sid and Alix are fantastic hosts who take the time to make you feel comfortable and welcome with many extras I’ve never had at other places. Will definitely stay again if I’m back to Vancouver!

Taking a break in BC

We had a wonderful time in Vancouver! The apartment was very clean, well stocked, comfortable bed and a great shower. Sid and Alix greeted us warmly with a bottle of wine and breakfast treaks, and Sid showed us around the hood, pointing out great shopping and restaurants along the way. The location was great and we walked just about everywhere, the beach, Maritime Museum, Granville Island, even all the way to Gastown, and when we didn't want to walk, we could always find a car-share which we did to visit Stanley Park. Note: to prospective visitors: Sid loves Aardvark Habanero sauce, just sayin'!

Good location, clean and well furnished, welcoming guests

Very nice attention from the owners with a (good) bottle of wine on arrival and some great treats for the first morning. Very quiet location but still very close to the city. Easy to walk to the beaches, Granville Island, False Creek and downtown Vancouver. Free parking is a bonus in this bicycle loving city.

Five Star!

The apartment and the hosting by Sid exceeded even our highest expectation. The apartment is in great shape, well stocked, very clean, the beds are high quality, and the shower is great. But above all, Sid is truly a great host. He offers generous advise, tips, neighborhood and city orientation tours, materials, and even brought us delicious treats from a superb neighborhood bread store. We will return to Vancouver if only for the pleasure of staying in Sid's property again!

A cozy little nook in a great location

What a gem of a neighborhood Kitsilano is! Brand new to us. And this little apartment was a great place to explore it from, right between the beach front and just two easy blocks from shops, etc. A very compact apartment with everything you need.
