Fixer upper in nice location
The house needs renovation. Dated everything, which we expected from the pictures. However didn’t expect that dated appliances, furniture , AC units and returns, beds won’t be clean. “Linen service” means dirty bag of it drop off outside the door., plus need to apply them on the beds yourself discovering lack of cleaning. Flickering and disappearing lightning in living room. Laundry in the molded and smelly basement, couldn’t use it.
We left the property cleaner upon departure than arrival , yet need to pay for cleaning... lol
Very quiet and nice location.
Good communication with rental office , tried to help but the house is what it is.
Wish would be a better description of the property and plan B in case clients are not happy with encountered , surprising problems.
We will not stay there again.
North Chatham Cottage
In general everything was very nice. Lovely home and furnishing appropriate to Cape Cod decor. We found the location to be wonderful for us. We visited the nearby beaches and loved the Main Street shops and restaurants. It’s the place to be for their Fourth of July parade. It was quiet and felt secluded even though other houses were close, but so much foliage and flowers made it a great place. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning. The house needs a deep cleaning. And I didn’t like having to put linen on the beds and strip them when we left. Although I would never leave someone’s home in a mess, I prefer not to have to wash and put away dishes when we left. We paid a mandatory cleaning fee! The beds were comfortable although one of the mattress covers was disgusting. Yuk! But then I wonder if anyone who really cares, ever sees this. We didn’t use this bed. Evidently the “cleaning” people haven’t noticed or don’t care. I hope management will take a good overall look at the home and see that it needs some love! Having said all of this, I’m picky! I also appreciate the loveliness of this home. I would stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay in Chatham. Wish we had stayed longer. The kitchen had all the tools you’d need to cook. There were also games and puzzles on hand. The assigned beach was Scateree and it was teeny tiny but not crowded. Would stay again!
Exit out parking turning right onto Main Street/Route 28. Go through the lights, up the hill, ¾ of the way around the rotary and exit onto Old Harbor Road . Go through traffic light. Turn left off of Old Harbor onto Emery Lane. #197 is on the right.
