Playa del Carmen offers everything I was looking for in a vacation destination: great weather, incredible beaches, and a vibrant town with wonderful restaurants--I could eat out on Fifth Avenue every night and never be bored. And the people around here are a lot nicer than many other places I've visited, both the locals and the many travelers, who make for fascinating and variegated community. My kids love the local entertainment and culture--ATVing, jetskis, adventure tours, and the Mexican cultural sites in the area.
What makes this Condo unique
I'm not much of a walker, so I appreciate being able to get to the beach so quickly, and having restaurants so close by. I like to go for a morning swim in the rooftop pool--and a late morning swim, and an afternoon swim.

Lovely condo in a great location
Comfortable, well-equipped condo facing the ocean. We spent a lot of time on our huge balcony, facing the beach - and the sunrises. The rooftop pool was lovely - a great place to lounge, swim, and watch the sunset. The staff at the management company were very responsive, and friendly. We were walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. And we took many short day trips to explore the area. We really enjoyed our stay in Playa!
Weather and food that met all expectations
We loved the condo and location. Though there was a music festival with a venue across the street, which made it difficult to remain in the condo on several days, we were pleased with the concierge and compensated fairly for the inconvience. Just far enough off 5th avenue to avoid the daily hustle and bustle, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to shop or eat. A couple of really good restaurants down Avenida CTM as well as mini super, totilleria, fruit and veggies market and a little bit of the "sabor de Mexico". Rooftop pool was refreshing and rarely crowded and offered a spectacular view of the Caribbean.

Cozy condo in a great location. I loved the kitchen so I didn't have to go out for every meal. Main Street of Playa was a quick walk away with great shopping, restaurants and people watching.

What can I say, The unit was beautiful, the management company has everything ready for your arrival, I had a personal concierge Deborah, who got everything ready for my arrival. She got my personal transportation set for for my family. Did the shopping for the condo so when we arrived everything was there. The location of the condo to the famous 5th ave. was just a 10 min walk everything was so close but not to close to all the noise. I would highly recommend the condo and this management company to anyone who is looking for a vacation getaway!

Very disappointed, unit not ready for rental
We selected Lolo as our vacation rental based upon the reviews and high rating on a couple of highly respected websites. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a gift basket-that was really a nice touch. Unfortunately that is really the only positive experience we had. There was water damage to the wall next to the living room door. The patio door lock was completely missing and the only means of locking that door was with a wooden pole. Also, there were instructions to leave a set of keys in the lockbox for the maid, but they only provided one set of keys. We used their service of having them purchase some groceries so when we arrived late in the evening, we would have the ability to cook a meal as well as cook other meals at the unit instead of going out all the time. The oven was broken and the flat stove top had a huge chunk missing along with cracks all over it. We decided to use the grill, but we had to take it apart to try and start it as the ignitor switch was missing. Then we discovered there was not a gas lighter anywhere in the unit to start it. The batteries were missing in half of the TV remotes and we had no internet service for 3 days. Our concierge was helpful and tried to fix the issues she could, but the entire time we felt like we could not relax as we were waiting for some repair man to show up at any moment. We were even sitting outside on the balcony and heard a knock at the patio door as our concierge let herself in. Luckily we weren’t in the shower or sleeping! The oven was finally fixed on the 5th night of our stay, but a little too late. We sent an email to the owners after our stay stating our disappointment. We asked for a discount and they did provide less than a night’s stay back to us, but this was after sending a follow up email after not hearing from them for over a week and a half. This unit was not rental ready. We really wanted to relax, but all of these issues made this a stressful experience.
This guest arrived under unfortunate circumstances. The guests before had damaged a number of items in the unit and left the unit in less than pristine condition. They then checked out the same day these other guests checked in. Unfortunately in Playa it can take time to get parts to fix things, and since this guest arrived during the busiest time of year there was no other unit to move them to. We offered them a free night's stay which during holiday season is quite significant and they accepted. You can see from the number of 5 star reviews this is a great property and we've had many happy guests.
