About Sylvia Shively and Jim Lumley
We love the outdoors and the local wild life. One of our favorite things to do is go agate hunting on the beaches in Crescent City. We have a large greenhouse and chickens. Make our own yogurt and can everything as it comes into season. The Ocean and local rivers (of which there are many) is just part of the reason we settled here. Amazing sunsets and sunrises on the many uncrowded local beaches.
Sylvia Shively and Jim Lumley purchased this Mobile Home in 2014
Why Sylvia Shively and Jim Lumley chose Crescent City
Beautiful redwood covered 2 acres. Outdoor fire pit to enjoy the starlit evenings. A relaxed and quite refuge. Close to the ocean and the Smith River. Fabulous fishing and hunting close by.
What makes this Mobile Home unique
Since the moment we purchased these amazing 2 acres it has been a labor or love. We keep improving and creating. The trailer was the first project with a complete remodel, next was/is the greenhouse, next an outdoor kitchen. In the near future we plan to build a one room treehouse with a loft bedroom, to rent. We have been having a blast researching and visiting local treehouses.

This was a nice place to stay. It was clean and had plenty of kitchen accessories, dvds, and a bbq.
LOVE the set up.
I really loved the outside patio areas, the set up was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed walking the grounds and just taking in all of the plants and beautiful glassware. The cabin was a little smaller than I expected but it still worked. I think this would be a great place for a small family or a couple of friends.
As far as the cleanliness, i would say it was nearly immaculate aside from the garbage outside being full and a bear getting into it. It wouldn't have been a problem but there were feminine products in the garbage and that was a bit much and was left most of the day.
Cute trailer home in redwoods
Great location. Nice and cozy. Clean and well equipped kitchen. My family of 4 enjoyed the stay. Great communication with the owner. 8 mins driving to markets, restaurants and kayak rental place.
Rachel and her family were great guests. Good communication and respectful of the Trailer. We highly recommend them and are always welcome back. Thank you again for choosing our Trailer in the Redwoods.
Stay in Redwoods
The trailer was very neat and clean, and they even had condiments in the refrigerator, so we didn't have to buy anything extra of that sort! There were four us who stayed there, and although it slept 4 comfortably, there was only 1 bathroom, and it was a little small for 4 adults. Our host Jim was lovely. He gave us some tips on where to go, and if we needed anything, he was there to provide it. Overall, very nice place!
Just a short drive and you are in the Redwoods. This was a cute mobile home surrounded by nature. I wish we would have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again.
Quiet escape in the trees
Nicely remodeled trailer that feels more like a house. 7 miles north of Crescent City and good location to visit the Jed Smith redwoods. Don't miss driving the Howland Hill road, beautiful road through the huge trees. Road is rough, slow and narrow but drivable for most cars, no low clearance sports cars.
We had a cleaning issue that was quickly resolved by the responsive owners. Owners live on the property and also rent out another trailer on the property.
