Florence in July
Antonio's apartment is just by the Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio; what else can one ask for more?
It is so practical too as it has plenty of space for my family of 4. The 2 bathrooms meant that we can wash up rapidly before and after visiting beautiful Florence under a scorching July sun :)
As for food, there are plenty of trattorias, fine dining, bars and gelati places that we never had to cook in the place's kitchen.
And Antonio had been a perfect host from day 1.
I highly recommend this property and its host and will come back to them anytime I visit Florence in the future.
Just stay here.
The property is exactly what it is described at and even a bit more. It is within 100 yards of The Uffizi, The Palazzo Vecchio, the Piazza della Signoria. It is just a couple of blocks away from the Ponte Vecchio and the Basilica di Santa Croce. Truly the most convenient place to stay that I can remember. The apartment is very, very spacious, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen table seats six the living room is quite large and comfortable and very tastefully and authentically decorated. It is well lit. The apartment is very secure with a locking front door on the street with a video camera to the out side a door to the unit that is just as secure. The unit is one flight up and has a balcony. Building is one of the few, in fact the only one on the block that has a balcony. From it you have a commanding view of the street below and you can see the Pallazzo as well. To start the day I would stand on the balcony and see the city awaken. After a morning of seeing the sights, I would find myself again on the balcony watching the world pass underneath or if my companions would be in conversation or napping and I wanted to be away from them it was a place to be in the apartment but not be. However, at no time did I find their to be any noise from the street. Via Di Neri is a predominantly pedestrian street and though busy never gets loud. Just a long putt away, it has the world famous All'Antico Vinaio foir overstuffed sandwhiches , the almost as famous Gelateria dei Neri for some of the most flavorful gelato that you can find anwhere. and a directly across the stree a delightful napolitan pizzeria , pizza Napoli 1955. There is a grocery store 2 blocks away for your necessities and many other restaurants. EVERYTHING was convenient. Staying here made my trip so much easier. I can't imagine staying somwere else..
Wonderfully decorated place with convenient access. A museum in itself and welcoming host.
Thank you Luca!
Very eclectic home with beautiful religious-themed collection of artwork/decor. Very nice lighting...
We really enjoyed staying here as did our teenage son, with his own room. Situated on a lively street with a fun atmosphere, restaurants, shops and nightlife.
The apartment was a perfect compliment for our stay in Florence! Very comfortable, a great location, and a nice respite after long days of sight-seeing. Luca, our host was very easy and pleasant to work with and made us feel very welcome. Much appreciated!
We had a great experience!
The apartment is very centrally located, within a block from the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza Della Signoria. Luca was waiting for us with our keys when we arrived and he was very helpful in recommending great restaurants. The apartment is very clean and a nice size for a family (we were travelling with two kids). If you want to be walking distance from everything, this is a great spot!
The apartment is situated in the historical heart of Florence and all the museums, art galleries and monuments are few minutes on foot.
There are also banks, post offices, an hospital, chemistries, supermarkets, shops, live theater and cinemas
