Beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful place to kick back and relax. House was clean and quiet and was very well stocked. We went out in the boat a few times and caught a nice bass and a whole bunch of perch also a couple of bullhead. We have a Jeep and enjoyed the trail riding including a very interesting trip to St Ignes down the caffey trl. Deep water crossings but made it. Located in a place to do most of what ever you want to do in the U.p. Definitely would rent this home again. Only thing we didn't care for was the geese pooping all over the yard and boat dock but I guess that is something you just have to put up with if you're on a lake.

Strouble Lake, beautiful and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This property had everything we needed. It was beautiful and clean. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in. It was our first experience with a vacation rental and we will do it again. We were able to sight see, or just relax.

This place is awesome!

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls and Mackinac Island. It is not a far drive to any of them.

As for the house itself, the pictures do not do it justice. It is spotless, has very comfortable beds and the kitchen is stocked with all of the cooking utensils you need. There is a table and chairs on the deck so you can enjoy being outside watching the beautiful sunsets.

Gary was great to work with. He came right over when we had issues with the boat motor and made sure everything was fixed right away. He made sure we had plenty of firewood for the entire week.

I would definitely recommend renting this house if you plan to vacation in the Upper Peninsula! It's fabulous!

Family Trip (4 kids between 7-13 yrs)

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful clean cottage. We enjoyed good weather for all our day trips...Mackinac Island, Sault Ste Marie, Tahquanamon Falls, and local fishing. This area is very peaceful with low traffic, a safe place for the kids to bike and quad. Thanks Gary and Trudy!

Very Welcoming

  • 5 of 5

The house on Strouble Lake was a wounderful location for all our day trips. We went to Mackinac Island, Picture Rocks, took the cruise to see the ship wreaks, the Soo Locks and Tahquamenon Falls. We had good food at The Cut River resturant, the Bay View Inn and, Johnny B's pizza which were close by. The house was very clean, and appears as if it was newly built. Gary the owner was great to work with.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed ourselves so much during our stay. The house was beautiful and super clean. There was plenty of room for everyone, including our German Shepherd to run around and play. The firewood was provided, the lake was beautiful and mother nature was kind enough to grace us with the sun. We will definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
