Can't beat the location for water activities

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here 3 days last year and this year a week. We kept our boat at the dock, and zipped out to lobster when we could, and out to fish when we couldn't. Although there are fancier, more-modern places, can't imagine one better suited to what we come to the keys for. The local caretakers were very helpful too. Thanks.

The balcony was amazing for sunsets and rises. The kitchen had plenty of cookware for us and the washer dryer was a nice addition.

Awesome view

  • 3 of 5

We honeymooned for a few days following our Key West wedding on Conch Key. We stayed on the Sunset side. The view from the house is world class but the amenities that are listed and the accommodations leave a lot to be desired. For instance there wasn't kayaks available which is something my husband and I were looking forward to using, however it is listed in the amenities list. There was a kayak that we weren't allowed to use because of a leak, a couple of broken fishing poles, a raft with a hole in it and that was about it. The furniture, the linens and the kitchen utensils were the kind of items you might find at a curbside pickup or garage sale. Also there were hammocks but we couldn't find the hooks to hang them. That doesn't mean the hooks weren't there we just couldn't find where they could be hung. That being said everything was clean, it was just basic or broken. We are pretty low key people and can work with what we had rented, but it still felt lacking. But, the view and the outside would make us come back! Just the next time we would be sure to bring our own amenities. We snorkeled around the dock and saw a tarpon and a couple of nurse sharks. The neighbor to the west of us showed us an octopus one evening. We love the Florida Keys and come down every chance we get. We specifically loved the quietness and the peacefulness that Conch Key and can't wait to return.

Owner's Response: Hi Abigail, I am sorry that you were not able to use the kayak. We love to share our kayak with our renters but unfortunately sometimes people do not take care of things:( We try to offer a simple but clean place with all needed. I appreciate if you let me know what utensils I should acquire to make it easier for future renters. And I hope this does not keep you from coming back:) Martha

Clean and relatively updated. For the money, a great value!

My two boys and I stayed at this condo. We went to the Keys for a fishing trip. This unit did not disappoint. It had everything we needed. Even though we had a boat my boys had a blast just at the backyard dock. It was like their own sea aquarium playground. Incredible amount of life right there plainly visible in the amazingly clear water. Our trip will forever be cherished and engrained in our memories.

Cozy stay with a view

  • 5 of 5

This place was really great. The house is split right down the middle separating two sides. It was really cool being secluded in conch Key, but it was also a bit far from the main keys (about a 15-20 minute drive to main Marathon or Islamorada). What really made this place awesome though, was its location on the Gulf (bay side) and its pier overlooking the water. At night time, the snapper come in and will pretty much attack a shrimp if you throw one out. I also caught two bonnet head sharks from the pier. There was also really cool snorkeling under the house and surrounding area, including seeing a few nurse sharks. I would definitely stay here again.
