About Rosalie Thomas
Don and Rosalie are both retired professionals from the Seattle area. We love SCUBA diving, sailing and skiing. Casa Calypso allows us to share our lives with our large family and fun friends. We usually spend our winters in Cozumel, and the summers sailing the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest.
Rosalie Thomas purchased this Villa in 2010
Why Rosalie Thomas chose Cozumel
Cozumel is safe! It's an ideal vacation spot for an active family with varied interests! The grandchildren can swim at the beach or at the pool, the adults can SCUBA, go fishing or take off for the 'wild-side' of the island, and Grandma and Grandpa can kick back on the terrace and watch it all! In the evenings, we can gather on the terrace, or head into town for a delicious restaurant meal. Whether we're walking along the malecon, or looking for a party, Cozumel is a beautiful, safe, and friendly place for all the members of our family to gather. We love it here!
What makes this Villa unique
Casa Calypso offers the unique combination of being private and outside of the tourist activities in town, but close enough that it's easy to join in at a moment's notice. We love the quite in the mornings, the easy access to diving and snorkeling, the incredible sunsets, and the breathtaking display of stars in the night sky. Truly, it can't be beat!

Beautiful property on the beach. Pier available for dive pick ups. Located far south so close to dive sights. Makes for a little longer ride to town, but a good trade! Property management was excellent in meeting all request. Highly recommend.
Amazing home with beautiful views. Would definitely come back!
If you are looking for a beautiful home for a large group. Look no further. This house will exceed your expectations. Patty, Rodrigo and the staff are there to make sure your stay is perfect. They will have suggestions for anything you want to do or need. If you are looking for a beautiful home in Cozumel, stop looking and book this house!
If you’re thinking about going, GO! House, location & staff are FANTASTIC! Swimming, snorkeling, floating in the ocean then hitting the infinity pool, chatting with neighbors, all great fun! You can’t go wrong! JUST GO!
This property, the owners, and their local managment company were amazing! I started organizing the retreat 8 months prior to arriving. Roaslie, the owner, put us in touch with Amber from Your Cozumel to arrange all the details and excursions. Amber kept in contact with me and helped me get quotes from local busnesses to create an amazing retreat. Once we were there, she put me in touch with Patty Turbea (our local concierge from Your Cozumel), I can't say enough about the assistance I received from Patty !! Any problems that we had were quickly addressed with professionalism and she helped us coordinate local experiences with ease. The second floor patio was perfect for a morning sunrise yoga class for 15 and there was enough space in the living room to push the furniture back and have our afternoon yoga class out of the hot sun. The chef service was ideal and the food was local and tasty. Rosalie was on site and stopped by a few times to be sure that our needs were being met. I couldn't be happier. Casa Calypso is a gorgeous fully equipped luxury home in a beautiful oceanfront community. If you choose this home and their associated serives you will not be disappointed. If I could give it 10 stars I would!
Wonderful Cozumel vacation:)
Our family of 5 stayed at Casa Calypso for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house is as fantastic as it looks on the website. It is an open floor plan with plenty of space to hang out, and the master bedroom upstairs is perfect for getting away from it all, when needed.
We hired the Chef for a week, and it was such a treat to just relax and not have kitchen duty. Chef Rafael was friendly, and we enjoyed the meals he cooked for us. Delicious.
We loved everyone associated with the complex. Pati was an asset; her recommendations, knowledge, and help was invaluable. We felt safe in our complex, coming and going to the pool and grounds with doors unlocked, and ipads and phones out. (Of course, we locked up when leaving for the day.) It was fun to meet the owners, Rosalie and Don, and enjoyed our sunset conversations with them.
The house is clean and well furnished, and our house keeper Guille, was so sweet and loved leaving cool towel creations in our rooms.
I would highly recommend Casa Calypso. We will return:)
Casa Calypso fun!
We came to Casa Calypso as a large family. This was our second time staying at the house and as always really enjoyed our time there.
A fun time was had by all. We had the perfect combination of relaxation and sightseeing. Snorkeling is wonderful right outside the door!
We hired the chef service and highly recommend this to anyone coming here. We also had a great time scuba diving and enjoying the pool.
The owners are friendly and wonderful people.
This won't be the last time we visit! See you soon!
Casa Calypso, named for the famous dive vessel of Jacques Cousteau, is located right next to the incredible reefs that he made famous. World-class SUCBA diving and snorkeling are right out the front door! The private 135 foot pier provides easy access to the spectacular Santa Rosa Wall, the towering bolones of Palancar Gardens, and the many other sites that make Cozumel the #1 dive destination in Mexico.
