About Isolde Buerkli
I am artistic and creative and I love to cook. I grew up in Germany but came to the states when I was 24. I raised my family here in this house and have many fond memories.
Isolde Buerkli purchased this Apartment in 1978
Why Isolde Buerkli chose Center City
The house is located in much sought after Society Hill. I provide a guaranteed parking spot as well as a freshly cooked breakfast every morning.
What makes this Apartment unique
The house is uniquely decorated. My grandfather was a sculptor and many of his pieces are located throughout my home. The home is very cozy and has a European flair to it.

Great Getaway in an amazing city.
My husband and I had a very nice stay. We felt like we were staying in a European Bed and Breakfast. Isolde was very welcoming and sweet. She had some great recommendations of places to eat and places to see. It was walking distance from the downtown Historic District. We highly recommend Isolde's place if you want to be in a place that really seems like home.
Our Philadelphia visit
We felt so comfortable in the house, with beautiful art and other treasures around the rooms. Isolde is a caring and thoughtful person who created an atmosphere that felt like home. The location is excellent, close to the Liberty Bell and other sights. We also had a parking spot which was important to us. My grandson and I would definitely return.
Wonderful hostess and location
Excellent. Isolde was wondeful and very helpful. Very engaging at breakfast. Would definitely recommend and go back
If I could give more than 5 stars....I absolutely would! The location was AMAZING!!!! The property was beautiful! Ms. Isolde was so very sweet and accommodating!!!
Visiting “oma” in another city 💜🙂
Isolde opened her home and heart to us; it felt like visiting grandmother in another city. The room we stayed in was very cozy and clean and had cool view of a beautiful synagogue across the street. The burb she lives in had a nice place to walk that had all kinds of sites to view as you explored. She lives a few blocks from good food and shopping, but once you walk back to her street it is peaceful and quiet. She asks when you want breakfast and when you wake up there is hot coffee and varieties of marmalade and jam and breads! Everything she does is thoughtful and personable; we had such wonderful conversations at the breakfast table. We had our own room, bathroom, and balcony all on the third floor that offered privacy and a place to recharge. She is 15 minutes away from almost every major museum in the city as well. One of my favorite parts of the trip was spending time and talking with Isolde. She offered comfort and stability for us when we came to a new city with new challenges to navigate the city. I highly recommend to visit the city and ask her to host you. It is a memorable experience for sure! Thank you Isolde!
