The Chestnut Cabin is our most popular cabin.

Lake Lure was voted in the top ten of most beautiful small towns in the USA a most visit. Home of the Patrick Swayze Dirty Dancing movie and festival also the last 20 minutes of the Daniel Day Lewis movie the Last of the Mohicans with breath taking mountain scenes.

The Tryon Equestrian Center, home to the World Equestrian Games in 2018 is only a 20 minute drive from the cabin. They often have FREE admission to show jumping on Saturday Nights. Incredible venue a must see if you like horses !!!.

One bedroom log cabin, double jacuzzi,wrap around deck,kitchen,living room, TV, DVD, heat , AC, fireplace, private car park, range, fridge, micro wave. Queen bed. Great mountain views.

We do not charge a cleaning fee as long as the cabin is left TIDY!!.

The interior was quaint and cozy. The exterior porch was unusable due to it was overrun by large spider webs. Outside/ landscape needed attention. Plants on porch were dying. It was very hot inside and took almost 24 hrs to be cool enough to sleep in the bedroom. Internet was terrible.

Could not stay at the property because my husband could not navigate the steps. Could not tell from the picture that the steps were steep and needed more hand rails. Worst birthday ever. Had to find another place to stay after paying for this one.

Lovely cabin for couples
This was the most reasonably priced cabin or house I could find, and we were not disappointed. Convenient location, nice setting - everything thing we needed for a weekend getaway at Lake Lure. Just a few minutes away from Chimney Rock and lots of nice restaurants. Communication with owner was easy and polite.

We spent two magical weeks in this peaceful cabin. The hot tub was fabulous. We enjoyed visiting all the little towns, danced to Irish music at the nearby pub, enjoyed bluegrass at Asheville's Shendig an the Green, and even caught sight of a bear cub!

My wife and I always enjoy coming to Lake Lure. And Martyn's cabin is the perfect little get away for a peaceful, relaxing time amidst the beautiful trees and mountain views, while being close to the lake and beach.

Precious small cabin. Very clean and well kept and maintained. Beautiful scenery! Peaceful, quiet, but right at Lake Lure and five minutes from Chimney Rock. 20 minutes to Hendersonvile. So, close to lots of activities but not disturbed by them. Highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing and exciting vacation.

Nice cabin with a wrap around deck providing a view of the mountains. Three refrigerators, two TVs, DVD player with tons of DVDs, well stocked kitchen. The mattress is 13-1/2 years old and sagged toward the middle from both sides. We got about 4 hrs. sleep for two nights and left before the 3rd night which was included in the reservation. I was there for a 2 day cycling event but only cycled 1 day from inadequate sleep.

A Beautiful Place for a Getaway!
The cabin is beautiful. Absolutely perfect for two. It's clean, and well-equipped. The overall location is great. Parking is convenient. The only tension for me is that I wear a brace on my leg that made it cumbersome to manage the entry path and stairs, but by the 2nd day I was a pro! The property manager was very attentive via messaging. We suggested equipping the cabin with lanterns or candles since we had a pretty lengthy power outage after a storm. But we were able to manage well. The cabin even kept cool while the power was out, so that was a major plus. We would definitely stay here again!

Check in was a problem , cabin wasn’t ready. Had to call housekeeper and she didn’t have our stay scheduled ! She came took care of the issue.. hard to get in touch with owner he only communicated via email and internet was weak outside of the cabin. In future would suggest them to mention access is a problem if handicapped or elderly due to excessive steps and loose gravel all downhill.
